[News] Ravens Racking Up Too Many Penalties

IMO you could tell from the preseason game game that the team was different, they weren't playing with the same enthusiasm and hustle as in previous years. Seems as observed by others to that it's a lack of discipline and boss Steve Bisciotti doesn't care for sloppy play.

all these penalties mean the players are not on the same page with the schemes plus there have been some dumb penalties because of lack of discipline or judgement

It has been a lot of penalties in a lot of these games. Every time a hole opens up for the running back to break one for a big gain, every time a receiver makes a great play, or a long kick or punt return, here comes that yellow laundry. By the way, since I've been watching football I haven't seen so many offensive pass interferences. The refs are not making things easy for certain teams. We are one of those teams.

Something has to change here. This is the type of play that put a lot of coaches in the hot seat. The way our defense come out in games, like they are already depleted, tired, and just all around lack of effort. Triple S called out the defense, which tells me two things. 1. Either this team is going to gel together, or that locker room is in turmoil. I keep trying to look for the positives, try not to have a negative attitude towards our guys or coaching staff this season, but it is very hard to keep a positive attitude when your team is loosing. Thursday night will tell us everything we need to know about the rest of our season.

Not just the penalties. Missed tackles, dropped passes, poor play calling, slow starts, no passion, no energy..the list goes on and on. Ravens have got to turn this around and do it now or we will be playing essentially for our draft position and nothing more.

Penalties suck. Its like committing suicide on your own goals and objectives.

Ravens have always committed way too many penalties....Every year. Doesn't matter who's coaching (harbs/billick) or who's playing. I've never understood it.
