Problems with press conference videos when using the mobile app.

Press conference notification comes after the press conference has already started or is just starting so I have only like couple of seconds to react or I'm already late. There's also usually some commercials before the stream starts so there is not enough time to watch it from the beginning. Auto-refreshing is 1 min, but I think notifications should come a lot earlier so you could be actually ready to watch live feed and benefit from the notifications.

Many times the video screen just goes black at the middle of a press conference, sound is also gone so I guess the whole stream just stops. This has happened many times with live feed. I don't have any problems with other videos on the Ravens app.

Anyone else having the same problems?

Hi there! We typically wait to send the push notification until we see either the coach or player walking up to the podium. Sometimes the wait can be espeically long, as practice end times fluctuate, and the player or coach doesn't make it to the podium at their scheduled time. We don't want people clicking into the app and seeing nothing but a blank screen. We'll keep in mind your concern, and try to get a jump on sending them. You can always check our homepage and the red alert bar for the press conference times for that day.

 

As for the black screen, we've been able to identify the issue and it shouldn't happen again.

Today the press conference notification was more than 5 minutes late so I rather wait than miss big part of the live action when I'm using my phone. But I understand that people are busy and waiting is boring. I guess that notification goes to thousands of phones at the same time so maybe that causes some problems too, some of us gets it a bit later? I live in Finland but I doubt that has anything to do with the lag. Well, first world problems anyway. Thank and keep up the good work!
