[News] Ravens' Take On Facing Steelers Next

51 posts in this topic

Wheres the YAC out of Forsett?… yeah the offensive line isn't doing anything, but Step up and be the RB you preached you were going to be in the offseason… we should have made a move for Melvin Gordon!

I wanted gordon, I wanted us to jump up and get him, tbh looking back it would have paid off better. But i dont put any of this on forsett when our passing game is not clicking out side of the tightends and a 36 year old receiver dont expect our run game to work well

also YACs are refered to as Yards after Catch. he didnt catch to much passes out of the backfield

we beat ourselves, scheme, our defensive scheme is what beat us. We have man corners, a roaming FS and a run stopping SS. Why did i see our SS trying to play coverage down the field when our FS was playing the blitz or run stop? Im no DC but our FS is faster than our SS, and alot of those deep passes are because our SS didnt have the closing speed or just couldnt read the QB. We signed a "playmaking" free safety for a reason why isnt he back there on the crucial drives?. we saw it last year and the year before. Maybe its not the players on defense, maybe just maybe its the dang coordinator....

I agree, the positioning of Ravens safeties at times had me wondering what was going on. Also seeing the positions of our CBs at times had me cringing knowing what was going to happen. On winning touchdown pass against Ravens, we had too many coverage guys on weak side with Green and another receiver on other side. I was shocked to see that everyone saw Dalton making changes while staring at Green when he saw one on one with other side loaded with too much coverage on weak side and no one figured it out. Pees should have saw that and screamed for a timeout or linebackers should have saw that and motioned to add more help at the top. There was no one on top and I was shocked to see that. That is on Pees.

Can't sleep on Vick will hit Antonio Brown deep like big ben! Keep Joe in the shotgun with Forsett by his side and three WRs! They will be honoring jerome bettis and it will only motivate the squeelers but the Ravens can do it by slinging that Rock! Just need one win to get this thing going! LETS GO

if the defense plays poorly thursday there will be several changes on defense. harbs looked like he wanted to explode during his postgame interview. hated to see teryl austin leave but ted monachino should get a chance if pees gets canned

I don't play fantasy football but the good news is SSS ranked #3 (#2 among WR) in fantasy points in week 3. Gilmore was #1 among TE in week 2. Flacco was #10 and #6 in weeks 2 and 3 respectively. SSS was ranked #1 in Senior Moments on ESPN on his yards after catch touchdown. Hey, gotta find some positives, right?

It's not Dean Pees guys...

I know everyone wants AN answer to the problems on that side of the ball but it isn't one thing. Dean can't rush the passer, set the edge, cover down field or audible in and out of coverages. We need PLAYMAKERS - guys who understand the situation and while playing within the defense, know when they can take a chance on a route to jump, or rallying to the ball carrier and letting the 2nd and 3rd guy try to rip the ball out.

lol this team is a joke, we're about to get steam rolled by the Steelers on national TV with Vick in at QB%u2026 evryones being delusional, Kubiak leaving was huge%u2026 play calling is a joke, everyones walking around expecting to win bc last year we were a "good team" makes me sick to my stomach%u2026 reminds me of ATL and whats going on with the Saints right now, 7-9 this season at best

im going to be straight with you, do not get use to how the ravens look now. ALSO get a good look at them now because they wont look this way next year good or bad. we will see alot of players departing baltimore come next offseason. This seem will be a 7-9 to 9-7 team and things will begin to implode, dont get comfortable now. Im calling it now, september 28th this will be a slippery slope down till they realize what they have isnt working and the door will begin to open and players leaving. Im not saying all of them but players like Elam, Webb, SSSR, Yanda or Osemeli, Brown, Daryl Smith, Canty, half the rotational guys up front. Even the coaching Staff we have since They failed to notice the knee condition the Perimans have in their family. We will probably take a good look at our pass rushers. Upshaw is gone, even some of the coaching staff will end up leaving, If there isnt an atmosphere change after what could be a very bad year for the ravens, expect the same thing next year.

Neg this all you want, Im just saying BallSoHard_University is correct. Look what the saints finally started doing cutting ties to big names like Jimmy Graham, to hopefully fix their team.

We continue doing what we are doing, all we will do is continue to spin our tires in mud

I'm absolutely disgusted by our fans. I hate how people just give up on their team like this. I always thought we were one of the most loyal fans in the league since I started watching Baltimore for 8 seasons. We never had a losing record when I started seeing my team. Now I know what if feels like to have a team that's not playing well. I'm still not giving up hopes for play-offs. I will at least stay calm until our bye week. I really wish fans could do the same. Now for this Raven-Steeler game. I will pray we win. I'm sad that Ben Rottenburger is not playing. Now if we do win, we will here a annoying excuse for a long time from Steeler fans

I agree 100% with you Ravens SB13. Its a good thing the players don't have the "quit" in them like some of the fans.

I dont want to hear it about getting a great draft pick there is still 13 games left if we can go 10-3 next 13 games were in playoffs and also give up isnt in the ravens vocab and we owe it to steve smith he is a straight up beast.

Bottom line...most everyone would have said being 2-2 at 4 games was probably expectable. Now some may have said that the 2 losses were Denver and Pitt others may have said Dnever and Cinc. so the way I look at this is all the Ravens need to do is WIN thursday then make up one of the "expected losses during the season. 11-5 or 10-6 is still very doable of this team can manage to stop beating themselves!

I truly believe some of the "Ravens fans" here are either Steelers or Patriot fans in disguise. There is a lot more into running a NFL team then a MLB team. Trades in the NFL are a little more complicated then MLB trades. You never hear a MLB has to learn the play book, just the pitchers on opposing teams. Jason Babin hasn't played because he needs to learn the playbook on defense. If we were to just plug him in and tell him to do the best me can and fails, you would want his head on a platter as well as the dumb coaches that stuck him in there. Am I frustrated, yes, but I am a Ravens fan no matter what the weather is.

Vick can find open receivers, and with our weak secondary, he is not to be taken for granted. Meanwhile, Pitt has beaten us in the past w/out Big Ben. No one should see this game as a shoo-in. But--with Pitt's weak defense, I think we have a good chance.

You said this as though the Ravens defense isn't weak as well.
