[News] Late For Work 9/28: Patriots' Jonathan Kraft Enjoying 'Sweetheart' Ravens Losses

If you can only speak positive of your team when they are winning...you are not a true fan. You are just a hothead that pouts when not winning.

Thank you Mr. Kraft - its comments from sleazeballs like you that will hopefully help motivate our team to actually win a game this season.

Poor guy must read too much New England news - they all seem to still be under the delusion that the Ravens had something to do with them being caught cheating.

Time to put Perriman on the IR and sign a FA veteran that can come in and help this team because we can't do it with only Smith and our TE trio. Brown and Aiken have been absent these 3 games and I'm not seeing anything changing in the near future.

Didn't the NFL appeal the Deflategate decision? Wouldn't it be sweet if it was reinstated just about playoff time! I hate the Patriots, have respect for the Steelers, but hate the Patty Cakes!

The 2012 Baltimore Ravens won the SB after having a three game losing streak during the regular season. We actually lost 4 of our last 5 that season.

I was just about to write that down, too, we lost to the Steelers @ home, Broncos, Redskins and Bengals by the end, yet still had an awesome postseason. Of course we also started the year at 2-1.

The steelers started 0 and 4 last year and made the playoffs. I would just like to see a win . Have to crawl before you can walk. Regardless I will be watching . GO RAVENS!!!

Wow! Yet another Kraft shows a Total lack of class. Although not surprising, quite telling about the kind of people who make up that family. Krafts, Belicheater, Brady, and the rest of the Cheatriots really do deserve each other and are a stench on the NFL. Another Wow! Breshad, that was Absolutely the Worst thing that could have happened. Was he wearing a knee brace? Agree with Smolka that Tyrod Taylor is much more lucky to make the playoffs than Joe is. Buffalo actually has a good defense and Tyrod is throwing the ball much better than I ever thought him capable of. I am REALLY happy for him and wish him continued success. While I Totally disagree with a lot of people on here who are suggesting that we should "tank" the season in order to get the best (lowest) draft choice possible, it Will be interesting to see just where we end up picking because I think that we Still have a rather difficult schedule ahead of us and it's quite obvious that we are playing Very poorly. I would think we are almost assuredly going to wind up picking lower than we are accustomed to. I Truly hate to suffer through a poor season, but at least that is a small consolation for having to do that.

Also, we have played 2 top Division Champions from last year already! This schedule is tilted horribly for us so far. This will work itself out by the end, still hate the Patriots though...

There were a few individuals that certainly stood out to me, that played a good game yesterday S.S is my #1, Brandon Williams, Crockett, Mosely and surprisingly Trawick, whom seemed to be trying to save the secondary from making the horrible mistakes that were going on back there. The penalties have to stop, we are shooting ourselves in the foot with those! Normally, I don't like to criticize any of our player's, but I think this one is needed. WTH happened to Jimmy Smith? He's supposed to be our #1 CB. Even when he caught the interception in the EZ, I could not bring myself to cheer....because he got burned so bad on the last play, and the ball should have never even been in the EZ in the first place! I don't know what's going on, or what they really need to do to get it fixed...Defense was stout in Denver, not sure where they were in Oakland, and the secondary fell apart in the Cincy game.....WHY?? I know they all miss Suggs back there, but come on!!!! I want my smashmouth defense back now!!!!

Lets face facts the Ravens are obviously going nowhere this year, there is no one on the team with the fiery heart to turn this thing around.Joe Flacco said yesterday you have to for get about the losses put them behind you I disagree, this is desperation time push the panic button and turn this around.

It wouldnt shock me if the league gave us this schedule as payback for Ray Rice, and deflategate. If you notice, refs havent been kind either. Still need to scrap the zone prevent tho

Rumblings of our young guys and their lack of effort? How is that possible when they can look at what SSS laid out on the field for the team?

If there is any truth to that, they should all line up and apologize to him, then have him give them a swift kick in the backside as his version of "apology accepted".

Better find some fire, boys, or find another place to play.

Who cares what Kraft thinks? I wonder how good the Patriot's are when they are not cheating?

If you watched the last four games they played (SB included), you've got a pretty good idea.

In short, A LOT better than the current Baltimore Ravens.

A LOT.

One... Steelers won the AFC north last year. Denver won AFC west. Both good teams. We have to close against good teams to get to the play offs though. Time for them to turn it on.

The next word I see written about Perriman needs to be the review of his performance in his first NFL game. Until then, I am not interested in hearing another peep about him or his knee.

Schedule isn't really that bad, and we've known about the schedule for years. Its not a valid excuse.

Scheduling concerns only come up when a team is losing... nobody cares about the schedule when you're winning.

The Bengals and Steelers have basically the same schedule as us (actually a bit harder), and I don't see too many people complaining about their schedule right now.

Why? Because they're taking care of business and we are not.

Of Patriots deny and subvert tactics (thanks South Park), this was baby Kraft's attempt at subversion. If anyone has been trapped in a car and forced to listen to him he sounds like someone taking Thorazine and is unable to rub two words together. Usually he is so politically correct this aberration should not just be called a shot at Harbaugh and the Ravens, it should be viewed as more of a plain old low down groin kick. That lying cheating franchise wants everyone to take their word for things but don't want to believe anyone else. The exact opposite of what Biscotti called an honorable franchise.

What is disheartening is the fact that we were in position to win all 3 of these games. The defense has not come through with stops when we needed them to, that much is true. Our offense has scored enough points to win these games, however, our running game is horrible. We really have no run game going on at this time.We also have no pass rush. Injuries have been a part of the problem also (and I am not talking just Perriman). Despite all that we still Could have won these games. Our team is not in sync with each other and if we want to make it to the playoffs (I think we still can) we need to fix it NOW.

GO RAVENS

There were a few indirect comments by players that may reveal some toxic, lackluster thinking and attitude in the locker room, resulting in falling short on the field. When I hear comments like some guys are just glad to be on the team, it perhaps exposes the tip of an iceberg of some players having the wrong attitude. Being present and going through the motions/plays will never be enough to win games, much less become champions. When I see players like SSS and Gilmore(when given the chance) play with the fire and determination to never give up and never give in, I cannot accept mediocrity in attitude from any player. Nor should teammates from 1 another. Time to address this head on and some players, including Joe and others, may just have to step out of their comfort zone and become vocal leaders. The Ravens cannot afford to sweep this potential cancer under the rug. One look at SSS and it is easy to see that attitude is half the formula to dominate and can be the difference between success and failure. Ravens want to FINISH? If so, they need to START by demanding the right attitude and 110% effort out of every single player.

Also in that interview Kraft either said himself or commented favorably when someone 98.5 wonk said that they wondered what the Ravens would be left to complain about now. Patriots = Proven liars and cheaters.

I don't want to get overly optimistic but we still can, theoretically, finish the season 13-3. We may have lost the first 3 games but none of them were blowouts. As small as the chances might seem, I wouldn't call the season over just yet.

We've lost 3 in a row. Have we lost 3 in a row in a season before? Probably more than once, but one notable time: in our Super Bowl season.

So - is this different just because it came at the beginning of the season? Not really. The difference comes in that we saw at points earlier in that Super Bowl season that we were good enough to win. Watching this team as they are playing now, it is hard to envision that. Also, that losing streak didn't include any team that looked like the Raiders. To see what the defense is allowing to happen is making it really, really hard to imagine a bounce back of the kind required to get us back into this.

But I'm not giving up on them. That doesn't matter, though, if they all decide to give up on themselves. That is what remains to be seen.
