both of us noticed that any form of zone coverage couple with a 3-4 man rush is called a prevent defense by many here even though it aint and the same people where specially asking for more man to man coverage and blitzes which is specficially why i only used those words. 

 

what makes this hilarious though is thats its you again who decided to run with something completely different trying to be a smart butt.

i know fans questioned him cause they accused him of running prevent defense all day and they wanted him to be more aggresive and use more man cov which like i said he did in the bengals game.

 

it backfired completely so its not a suprise the HC started to question it.

 

thats the whole point of my comment and like i said redrum got it.

I wonder how fervently the players study film on their own time. Ed and Ray were fanatical and I wonder if the tradition of DB'S gathering mid-week away from the facility to watch and discuss opponent film has gone by the wayside.

I wonder if Ed could be paid to come in(if interested)and teach these guys how he studied an opponent and put forth to them the difference that it makes.

Really not much of a diffrence between a prevent and a soft zone imo. The lack of communication, the missed tackles, not knowing how long to stay in your zone before you converge yeah you can blame that on position coaches(the secondary coach is a newbie who's wet behind the ears) but the bottomline is who's the grand poobah. The conductor of the defense.

A very good point. Im gonna have to say not as much.

As soon as I posted It occurred to me that this would certainly be on Webb and Jimmy to continue. It would be nice if such a meeting were directed by someone with the football intuition that Reed possesses but, in actuality it would be a benefit even if Melvin or Elam were heading it up.

I am certain that off field communication facilitates more intuitive play and on field communication and would love to know if that tradition continues. Good looking pup.
