[News] Game Recap: Bengals 28, Ravens 24

Once again we settle for a field goal on the two yard line and failed to punch it in. Could have been the difference. The missed field goal hurt too, but can't expect tucker to hit me all. Esp @ 50+ in the bank, where he said was the toughest field to kick bc of the stadium setup and the way the wind comes through.

Anyway I thought harbaugh coached his butt off. He was aggressive and kept us in the game several times.

The problem is poor draft choices over the last few years. Yes we struck gold with CJ Mosley but considering we have been picking towards the end of the draft the last few years most of the picks have been busts. We have over paid and had underperformances from our free agents and it is all coming home to roost.

We really don't have a problem, this is exactly what the Cap was made for, it is to insure the same teams aren't always in the playoffs year after year....We are going through a youth movement, it's as simple as that....We lost a lot of proven talent due to the cap, and are having to rely in very good young talent, that just has to go through the growing pains...You can try to fill in gaps with FA signings, but they still have to gel with the youth, and a new system...I'm okay with this, because the future looks very bright for us, we might have a down year, but we are loaded with solid youth, that will get better from all this...JMO....

All I can say is out of all 0-3 teams Baltimore has the best roster. Honestly people say it a lot yes our secondary has looked lost and our wide receivers are not getting open. But look at the talent pool. We have more talent than most teams and Harbaugh is an amazing coach. I think the coordinators need to be pushed harder to push the players farther. The Ravens DO NOT look bad. Losing by a score is still a loss, but if we lost by 20 in all those games instead of like 4 in each of those games we would not still be talked about. Luckily no other AFC teams are doing well. Look around.... The only teams with two wins or more are the Patriots, Broncos, Raiders, Steelers, Bills, and Jets. I do not see the Jets or the Raiders as play off contenders and it is still early in the season. Luckily the AFC is also not looking so well as a whole which gives the Ravens time to come back. But yes that means they have to start winning these games. Good news is Maxx Williams was getting open consistently against the Bengals when put on the field after the first half when Harbaugh realized Crockett wasn't doing much. I think the rookie is slowly growing. Get Perriman back out there as well and you have a lot more speed both at tight end and at wide receiver. Defense just needs a make over all together.

Obviously we have a team that can compete, but one that can't close the deal, as the season goes on i feel they will learn how to do that, but i just don't think we have a playoff team, or even if by chance if we make it, i don't think we have what it take mentally to get very far, we are very young.....JMO....

I disagree and here is why... On both sides of the ball there are plenty of veterans. Offense there is Flacco, S. Smith, Yanda, and Forsett. Defense there is Daryl Smith, Jimmy Smith, CJ Mosley, Courtney Upshaw, Dumervil. This leadership topic the Ravens have been talked about is totally false. Since the Super Bowl that is all they can talk about when we have leaders. We have veterans. Our defense has no confidence and our offense is having to carry the team with no run game. People need to step up we have more talent this year than last year. Losing Suggs sucks but you cannot say there is no play makers when the Ravens have more on their team than most teams. Also I am annoyed of hearing the Ravens need a speed guy at receiver. A lot of teams do not have speed and they still are fine and not talked about speed being an issue. Whoever comes up with these arguments makes me scratch my head. The corners cannot be playing 1 on 1 against pro bowl receivers. The Ravens need more hybrid zones to get these cornerbacks feeling comfortable. I really don't understand why pro bowl caliber corners like Jimmy Smith and Lardarius Webb are completely gone this season. I swear when Teryl Austin left he took our secondary with him. Wish we promoted him he is a talented coach and we let him go.

Ok, what i'm going to say, don't laugh and i'm very serious....Why not bring back Reed, seriously, the man can QB the secondary, and i personally feel is probably still in good enough shape to compete....or sign him to coach the secondary, he has seen so many formations, and has a good feel where the ball is going....i mean on that winning pass to AJ, was i the only one who knew that was where the ball was going??? J.Smith was beat so bad on that play....Yes this is my Monday morning after a loss venting.....

We have veterans, but we certainly don't have one vocal enough to get guys in position during the game, i don't see the leadership, or in play adjustments, that RL52, and Suggs was very good at....The communication isn't there, or is the recognition....

After we took the lead, who allows AJ that much room on their very next possession to take it 80 yards for a TD on their first play??? Who doesn't shadow him on every play, to not allow such a cushion??? you can play zone, but still have someone shadowing green the entire game, like a box and 1 in basketball....either poor coaching or poor play by the CB's....Green is a player that needs to be shadowed by a CB the entire game.....

If there were leaders on the defensive side of the ball then the Ravens wouldn't be in this situation. A leader not only leads the team but he gets everybody in the right spot and hold everybody accountable to do their job. Like Steve Smith said yesterday in his outburst in the locker room per report, "You've got guys in this locker room that's just glad to be on the team". And that's saying a lot.

As fans if we knew going into this year it was a rebuilding year we would understand the growing pains BUT Super Bowl was in the discussion. First off Pees I think needs to go and bring in some fresh aggressive coach. Why go man to man with a player like Green ? You bring a blitz inside the 10 ??? You have to be held accountable if your D is costing us games. Next we miss SPEED on offense that's why we have no running game. Defenses are once again stacking the box. Pretty much why Smith is getting a ton of passes. Lastly I think the Bust tag can already be thrown out on Perriman, not for his play but looks to me injury prone. Between Pees play calling and having no speed of O is why were 0 - 3 and on the brink.

"ABORT" the run game for now it's slowing the Ravens down! The Ravens need to play 2min football no huddle and CONSTANTLY slinging that Rock to fix this Offense! 13-3 LET'S GO

no huddle football only works when you have other options BESIDES throwing to Smith Senior in triple coverage every down.

The run isnt our problem, the lack of receiver talent is.

All I can say is out of all 0-3 teams Baltimore has the best roster.

your homer is showing.

Detroit is also 0-3. With a comparable overall defense and far more talent at WR and RB, its hard to sell Balimore having the best roster.

The 6 worst teams in the NFL right now are Ravens, Dolphins, Redskins, Bears, Saints and 49'rs. It is hard to believe that we are in that group. Not the type of accomplishment that we were expecting. It appears that we are in for a lot of disappointment this season. We should see the benefit in APRIL though. Hopefully, we will pick the right players in the first 2 rounds. We blew it this year. I don't think that Perriman is going to meet expectations and I do hope that I will be wrong on that point.

Get Ed reed and sign him as a Secondary Coach. He can't do any worse than what we have. Dean Pees and his bunch have lost control. Some changes are needed right now to turn things around. We need our D-Backs to be more aggressive. Obviously, they are to worried about getting flagged.
