[News] Game Recap: Bengals 28, Ravens 24

The play on the field is definitely lacking but I have to give the blame to the coaching staff on the last 2 losses. You have 6'6" Gilmore, 6'6" Darren Waller & 6'5" Marlon Brown but you throw the ball in the flat to 5' Campanaro? Last week, same thing - you throw to 5'8" Steve Smith. C'mon man! Dump off passes to Juice are not going to win games.

On the D side, AJ Green has literally beat you at the end of the game for the past 3 years. How is this guy NOT double covered?

@RavensBaltimore, its had success to a degree...It's failed in every critical position...Last drive against Denver, last drive against Oakland and last drive against Cincinnati today...Again im not saying our offense has been worthless, but every game, our offense comes to life when we're on the verge of getting blown out...and then on the final drives when we need that final drive, it falls flat on its face..Three games and three failed final possessions for our offense..BOTH sides of the ball deserve a good share of blame is my point

now we have to hope we secure a top 3 pick. we need a nasty LT or PASS RUSHER. CB as well. kubiak meant a lot o this team and it shows.

They say perriman tweaked his knee in pregame warmups running a deep route. He stopped running routes after and just caught passes standing still. OUCH... I want to know what happened to Crockett and why he wasn't playing in the 2nd Half? He had his helmet on and was standing with Williams and Boyle on the sideline but never entered the game. PEES is awful. Why are we pressing WR's on 3rd and 15, but we play off 10 yards on 3rd and 5. Our Front 7 has always covered up his ineptness. Now Ngata is gone, McPhee is gone, Suggs is hurt. Dumervil can't get it done on his own and we are in desperate need of pass rushers. It doesn't matter how good your DB's are if you can't pressure the QB.

To be fair flacco lost all of his weapons after the Super Bowl. For a qb an offense to be successful you would need to keep some of his weapons around, look around the league at the hood offenses. Next yr our dead money should clear an flacco needs a new team friendly contract so we can get real talent at the skill positions.

I blame the Offense running instead of passing! Triple " S " can't be the only WR open and for people to think that SMH! This team got where it is today because of the pass and got away from that! Keep running keep losing! OPEN IT UP!

This team needed a QB and found one in Joe Flacco but now all he does is handoff! It's time to open it up or keep losing and pointing fingers! Now good players like Marlon Brown Kamar Aiken aren't being utilized correctly and looked down upon! Big ben will not waste his time running Thursday night he will try and "LIGHT" up our secondary giving some people more fits and more finger pointing instead of going out there and hitting them in the mouth! WAKE UP!

Losing to an AFC North  team @ home made this loss the most bitter of the 3.  When I was in despair, CJ picked up that fumble and scored.  Since we have seen calls go against us, the first thought was a penalty. Unlike the Ravens teams from past years I expected we would apply the choke hold and win.  Instead we choke again.  This losing streak is an event we, as fans are not accustomed to.   Pittsburgh on Thursday.....???

The run game is slowing the Ravens down and it makes Joe, too too predictable! So predictable "I" could prolly pick Joe off! OPEN IT UP and let Joe get into a flow or he will throw more INTs!

So many things frustrate me about the state of our team, it's absurd.

We have the same players as last year, yet we can not run the ball whatsoever.

We do not have great DB's, but the play calling by Pees is idiotic. There is no way a DC who can adjust to changing circumstances would let this happen.

Offensive play calling was not any better. 2-3 yard passes to Forsett?? I understand what the thinking was - since we could not run for even a yard, short passes were supposed to keep Bengals hones and near the line of scrimmage. But this was ridiculous at one point! 3&8, we throw a pass to Forsett to the line of scrimmage.

Yes, our coordinators are bad, but our players are not performing either. If Smith and Hill, who supposedly are our best DB's, cannot together tackle Green who is backpedaling, then they are not starting caliber players. Yet we are paying Smith like a starting shutdown corner. Same with Webb, he ended up 4th on the depth chart by the end of yesterdays game, but we are paying him like a starting CB.

To top it all off, the penalties are unacceptable. K.O, Zuttah, Melvin should not be on the field if they are not able to play without committing fouls.

sss is all they have. brown and aiken are useless. no boldin no torrey and we keep getting rid of young defensive players like mcphee. it has caught up to us but at least we can get another cornerstone player with a top 5 pick.

What is common denominator for Offense slow start which has gone on for years? Cam Cameron lost his job over it. I'm pretty sure it is our elite quarterback Joe Flacco. Still over throwing and under throwing receivers. Not sure even if he had a #1 receiver he could hit them. The argument has been Joe has never had the quality receivers that others have enjoyed but would he know how to use them if he did?

I don't know what is going to wake the Ravens up! WE look awful on every part of the team.

#1 Dean Pees needs to go

#2 Marc Trestman is too predictable and needs to get on the same page with Flacco

#3 We have not successfully ran the ball

#4 Campanaro should play more often than Marlon Brown

#5 WHy did we sign Jason Babin and not using him?

#6 wHY cant our DB's tackle?

I love the Ravens but lately my heart cannot stand how we loose. You put so much hope and cheer into the team and they come up short. Our identity definitely is on the line at Heinz field on Thursday. Someone needs to emerge. HarbaUGH please start reevaluating your friends aka coaches who cant seem to call right plays...

Hopefully we win on thursday! #RavensNation, Upshaw needs to attend BallsoHardUniversity.

I can only blame the offense so much, considering they put up tons of passing yards that should be enough to win the game, 2 350 yard games in a row to be exact. Nowhere near as much as I blame the defense for getting torched (again) on almost every passing play and god awful tackling.

I can't believe it's 7:50 a.m. on Monday and Dean Pees hasn't been fired yet...but, Harbs isn't exactly innocent in all this, 29 penalties for 225 yards in the last 2 weeks is a sign of an undisciplined team.

i have one motto for this year. sack dan bum pees. This defense has been under performimg since he been here. you know new england demoted to another spot for the same reason s we been seeing on the field this season. As long as he is around as dense coordinator our defense will be subpar. Going back to last season we have seen our defense get run over in the last minutes of a game five weeks in a row. Enough is Enough. We lack a defensive general to rally the troops

This is why you don't get all fired up about OTA's and Training Camp. The stories about how this group of receivers were the deepest the Ravens have ever had was laughable. Any receiver wearing shorts and a jersey can catch a ball. On the defensive side of the ball, the Ravens just may have the worst D in the league.

exactly. It's the way we keep losing that hurts the most. Right on the cusp of victory only to blow it all 3 games . I'd be ok if we got blown out but to send us through the roller coaster of emotions only to let us down in the end is just wrong lol. After that fumble returned for a td the entire momentum had completely shifted in our favor and what do we do? The one thing we absolutely cannot afford to do and give up a huge play and lead to kill the momentum in less than 20 seconds. You can't give up the big play like that. At least make them earn it. This stings worse than the others. A divisional game and the freakin bengals who have beaten us like 5 times in a row smh.

Anyway, as hopeless as this season seems- Big Ben going down changes the dynamic of the afc north and changes the game. If we can win the next 3 games( which are entirely winnable if we make the proper adjustments) we will be right back in the mix. One game at a time.all we gotta do is take down Vick and aa piss poor steeler secondary - then its back home to take down Cleveland. Very doable -just makes the loss hurt even more and really makes you wish we could have pulled it out strictly bc of the division.
