The good, bad and ugly vs Bengals

757 posts in this topic

Yeah I should have stopped watching at half time. We basically blow games just like we did in the playoffs weekly now.

I want to blame the coordinators but well I guess it's time to look at the talent as well. Will hill has done plenty well. But he's also been out of position a lot the past 2 weeks.

Jimmy smith and the entire secondary were handled most of the day when it counted most on 3rd downs.

The most undisciplined football team of the Harbaugh era .

Reminiscent of the Billick team that had about 100 penalties in that Detriot game

Flacco isn't blameless, his mechanics were a horror show, especially in the first half.

But this team isn't going anywhere with this defense so whatever. When your defense is this bad your need a high powered offense to complement it. Our only real weapon on offense is SSS, so there goes that.

Why are we STILL running a PREVENT DEFENSE??? It stops NOBODY! It has been our demise this year. Since New England, we have now given up 129 points in our last 4 games. Can anybody tell me how many of those happened in the 4th Quarter in Prevent?

Flacco is currently on pace for 4600yards while throwing to 1 WR and not having a running game.

Not to mention the O-line can't block or atleast not commit drive killing penalties.

Don't forget Brandon Williams. He was our best defensive player today.

Actually the running game wasn't what did us in. Our front 7 can take the bus

Offense gave the D 2 chances to win it and the D send thanx in form of a 80y TD and a 2 Min TD ....

Defense, OL, fundamentals, and leadership. All need serious work. This team is an undisciplined group that plays like it. Unfortunately is also a young group so these things happen.

Still, I see no reason to keep Pees anymore. I don't care if he's called great games anymore. I've seen enough fourth quarter meltdowns. I'm so tired of it. It's the players' job to execute but it's up to coaching to get them coached up. I'm not seeing it. I'm seeing the same mistakes since he's taken over. Bad tackling, not converting turnovers (it's been better lately but still) and just playing so frequently off the WR and strange matchups like Lewis on AJ Green.

Who cares how much YAC Smith gets.

I mean i honestly bad for Steve Smith, this man leaves it all out there, has to get an IV to continue playing, is taking little short passes and constantly turning them into first downs and more. This will be this man retirement tour huh. Just him playing like nothing else matters, and everyone else play like it doesn't matter.

jimmy is playing horrible

Agreed. Other than that interception.

Only bright spots on our D are Brandon Williams, Dumerville, Carl Davis, Mosley.

id beg him to stay on for one more year after this team is rebuilt.

The whole team (well, minus a few guys) just looks flat.  Play seems lazy and uninspired.

The pass rush is still putrid.  The only real pressure we seem to be getting is on overload blitzes.

The lack of deep threat is really taking its toll.  The Bengals were sitting on those underneath routes because they don't have to respect the deep ball.

Agree 100%. Joe wasn't perfect and hasn't been all season. But he isn't the main reason we're 0-3. We have a inconsistent defense and no real firepower on offense outside SSS. And no running game whatsoever.

Heartbreaking.

Kyle Arrington is horrible.

All of our corners except Jimmy are terrible on 90% of plays.

Also we got screwed out of 3 seconds at the end of the game. Not that it really makes a difference.

arrington shouldn't be on the outside, for some reason I kept seeing Kendrick lewis covering slot and Harrington outside which makes no sense

Top issues before the season: secondary and receivers.

Top issues now: secondary and receivers.

Add OL to that too apparently, miss you Kubiak.

When Perriman comes back this team won't even look like the same team. I personally think we didn't look horrible today... Offense started rolling. AJ green is just too good.

I know. I'm saying that Brandon Williams was our best defensive player and that the front 7 played well.

I don't know if Buck Allen or LT are starter material but really it's obvious like I said last season and the offseason. Forsett had a breakout year don't want to hear nonsense about him not having tread on tires blah blah. He's a third down back, that had a stand out year and Kubiak is gone....

He's on pace for what maybe 600 yards.
