Flacco showed some fire against the Bengals, and he spoke spitfire in his press interview yesterday. Win or lose, (and we better damn beat the Steelers and get rolling if we want our season to be salvaged) my respect for our QB has gone even higher.

What I would like to see Thursday night...

1.) Monroe healthy and playing well.  We need him and the entire line to play better

2.) Run the football!!!! Use the stretch run plays!

3.) Get Flacco moving out of the pocket on bootlegs

4.) Campanaro and Waller given opportunities to  make plays

Defensively

1.) Give Will Davis and Jason Babin snaps

2.) Pressure Vick and let the corners jam the receivers

3.) Get Terrence Brooks some snaps as the FS or a 3rd safety on the field

4.) Double AB from time to time and make Vick beat us throwing down field.  With constant pressure and containment mixed with doubles on AB and LB from time to time we should be able to stop their offense without Big Ben.

Agreed, you can tell he wants it. He and Steve Smith have the offense trying. We need some of that from the defense. Pees has killed their confidence, I'm convinced.

Only only hope is that their Secondary has a worse showing than ours and we put up 40 points and hope thats higher than whatever Peen Deez and crew give up.

The Steeler defense has been, surprisingly, better than expected. They are in the middle of the pack overall, although they have definitely been better against the run than the pass. Shazier is showing real potential to be a stud.

Shazier missed last week and looks like he could very well miss this game also.  With arguably two of their best 5 players out, if we don't win this game then Harbaugh and the FO will have some serious evaluations to do

I just want our team to show-up as a whole and play. I know right now with the Ravens record its hard to be positive but I know we got great players on this team and they just need to put it behind them and come together as a team. I along with a lot of other fans have said things on these boards the last few weeks just purely on emotion. Going to always pull for our Ravens.

I'm projecting a much needed win against a Bergerless Steelers team and a potential 3 game winning streak leading up to week 7. I feel like Vick will be good not great, probably commit some turnovers, Brown and Bell will make some plays and possibly score some pts but I feel like the loss of Roethlisberger makes a difference.

If we get this win I see us at 3-3 before our Monday Night game with the Cardinals wk7. If we play our cards right and can get this thing going this Thursday against a vuberable Steelers team we could get a streak going.

Wk 4 @Pitt- W

Wk 5 Home Vs. Browns- W

Wk 6 @SF- W

And if we have all hands on deck for the Wk 7 MNF vs the Cards (a game Pitta will be eligible to play in if he could possibly do so), I feel like we have a chance to beat them and come back home against SD 4-3, although I project a loss against Zona.

DE Canty (calf), TE Gillmore (calf), WR Perriman (knee) didn't practice. T Monroe (concussion) was limited.

Wow, I don't even know what to make out of this. It's been three weeks and Monroe is STILL barely practicing. If we don't have Gillmore we'll probably lose the game. Perriman's a wet tissue.

Don't know man, don't know.

So Hurst is LT indefinitely, and Gillmore will be out. Great.

That Monroe deal looks like ANOTHER bad contract.

All hindsight, of course.

Didn't hear anybody claiming it was a bad contract when he signed it...

I know, right? Suddenly he's a broken bum after he signed a deal and now people forget he was once good. It is a shame, don't get me wrong, but nobody could predict this would happen just like nobody knew Pitta would have two hip injuries. These things are flukes. Pitta was a bit more predictable, but still.

With that said, I actually did want Veldheer more than Monroe, but I understood why we went with Monroe over Veldheer.

I can forgive the Monroe deal but the Pitta deal was absolutely stupid considering he wasn't yet a FA and was JUST coming from a very serious injury. That deal will be hurting us for years.

What makes you think this will be the case?

No, I want to see you lose while trying. No tanking please.

Classy fans.  Classy Organization.  A lot of time on his hands being unemployed.  I bet you're a member of the Jets and Dolphins forums too.

I've been a fan of Bmore football for quite some time, so I can take losses and a lack of success in stride. But I have to say that after any loss to the squealers I'm pretty much ready to fall on the sword. Please beat the squealers.  Thank You.

Which means Maxx Williams gets the start. I never understood why we haven't used 2 TE formations more often as Gillmore and Williams would be a deadly 1-2 combo at TE. I think Williams will show up with a big game and just may be the reason we win(thinking game winning TD or putting us in position for Tucker to kick the game winning FG).

Not necessarily imo!

Some of us said things as we see and saw it!  If it was good...we said that!  And,. if it was trash....we said that!  If we feel the Ravens can win...we said that!  And, if we feel they could lose...we said that as well!

And yet, like you said we will always pull for our Ravens.

Some did.

Some were saying that McKinnie was playing equally and spending all that on Monroe was a waste.

We'll see if he plays. Doesn't sound like it as of today.

Time to beat some Steeler.

I'm anxious to see Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle with Crockett Gilmore being ruled out.

Be great to see Williams tear the Steelers secondary a new one given how they wanted him too.

Only 2 home games in October. I was hoping .500 until November then use our favorable home schedule that the NFL finally blessed us with to get home field hole playoffs.

Oh well. We go 13-3 now.

This is the spirit.

I remember saying it was bad to pay him that much never thought he was a bad player though
