[News] Justin Tucker Fastest In NFL History To 100 Field Goals

34 posts in this topic

Yeah....he kicks so many field goals because we are so inept at scoring touchdowns and have to "settle" for field goals.

This shows how many times we couldn't score a touchdown in the red zone. I'm programmed understanding that it will be three and out inside the ten and here comes Tucker. I'm thinking he will add four to his record tomorrow.

"ABORT" the run game for now it's slowing us down! When you need a Touchdown you pass and the Ravens be needing them when the whistle is blown! Run later much later! In the red zone the Ravens can use all three TEs Gilmore, Williams and Boyle and put them at WR positions and bully the ball in the endzone!

CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN but I want TDs!

Great job, Tucker. However.....it would be great to see some of those FGs as TDs instead. You know, like last weekend when the Ravens had 1st and Goal inside the Raiders' 5-yard line and couldn't punch it in? Those missed opportunities are often the difference between a win and a loss.

Abort the run game? I agree that we need TDs instead of FGs, but our WR Corps consists of Steve Smith Sr and a bunch of mediocrity (at best). Sorry, but it's true. Marlon Brown, Kamar Aiken, Michael Campanaro...this isn't exactly a WR Corps that strikes fear in opposing defenses. Not one of our WRs has yet to catch a TD pass (one of them let a go-ahead TD pass go through his hands and bounce off his face mask, but oh well). Gilmore is developing nicely, but our other TEs are raw, raw, raw. When we're deep inside the red zone, give it to Forsett or #44. I'd say Taliaferro too, but the guy always seems to be hurt.

He's the best because our coach is so predictable and bad at taking calculated surprise chances to score..........Tucker you owe him a car......time to go coach....

I feel that our team is blessed with this very talented kicker, but if you think about that record for a minute our offense is stalling on scoring drives which is resulting in field goals. We need more TDs not field goals!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets finish these drive and put the ball in the end zone!!!!!!!!

As others have said, this record is indicative of our struggles in the red zone. However, this record obviously isn't totally based on that. The fact we have a kicker who can kick game-winning 61 yard field goals gives him more opportunities to kick. Plus there is the fact he makes the most of his opportunities by being so accurate. I think he'll be a Raven for a long time--the next Stover.

Kudos, to Justin. With the way our offense doesn't finish sometimes, it's good to have an accurate kicker, though I'd rather score TD's first and foremost. In fact, I've been thinking and posting this week, that we need to forego FG's in order to keep up with the better teams, like Cincy. In the Oak. game, their offense was superior to ours, because they had 4 TD's and 3 FG's, while we, trying to keep up with them, had 3 TD's and 4 FG's, which obviously adds up to a 4 point loss.

I look forward to see Justin stay a Raven for many years to come. He's a class act and the best kicker in the game!

That's what happens when you can't score touchdowns.

Amen brother.  This team could easily be 2-0, if it weren't for Jump Ball Joe.  Hope he got all his bonehead plays out of his system.  Ravens need this victory.  I guarantee one thing, it will be close!

I'm in favor of an all out "AERIAL ATTACK" and feel the young WRs will make the plays! Forsett by Joe side is a constant threat and paralyze LBers! Take control of the game and jam that ball down their throats! Stop playing around and win these two games and get focused and play RAVEN FOOTBALL!

The new show with Bart Scott & Kristen Berset is amazing and entertaining. Big congrats to the producers or whoever came up with it. Much better than watching NFL network. Coulda swore Michael Irvin was drunk on live TV some days ago on NFL network. And plus all the analyst on NFL network, who are all former nfl stars, just talk over each other.

Now we need to get Tucker signed to a long term deal as well as Yanda or K.O. or possibly even both guards signed to extensions.

There's no sense in further discussing the obvious, about our lack of TDs helping Tuck reach this milestone. Enough people have already pointed it out. So, I'll just applaud Tucker on his incredible accuracy and, instead, mention just how important it is that we re-sign him to about a ten year deal. LOL. Not ten, of course,. Too much could happen, but we really Do need to get his signature on a new long term deal. We cannot afford to lose him and doubt, very seriously, that we really want to try to replace the best kicker in the league with a less talented one. Out of all our potential FAs, I think he's the one we can least afford to lose. Yes, even including Yanda, although we Definitely need him too.
