Week 3 - Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

What's the deal with Babin? Is he hurt? Surprised to see him inactive especially after the D got no puss rush last week and it seemingly cost the defense.

He's healthy.  Very curious decision.  I'd be looking to get whatever pass rush I could get, and I think Babin is probably one of the better bets on that.  I can understand last week, but I can't see why he wouldn't be playing this week.

Babin signing a question mark. Inactive again. Also there's reports Perriman came up lame, limping, after running a go route during personal workout prior to the game.

And if that is true???  Folks wonder why we haven't started him yet...  Let Him Heal!

Yeah not getting that at all about Babin. And exactly how bad was Monroe's concussion for crying out loud?

Concussions are tricky and even more so in today's NFL. Back in the day Monroe probably would have been back by now. But with the concussion protocol now the slight headache or symptoms will cause him not to be cleared. This will be basically the 3rd game he's missed and i'd imagine there's a strong chance of him missing Thursday Night game as well. Might be a bit drastic, but hopefully it isn't career threatening.

Yeah that was my thing. Seems a long time out for a concussion so was hoping it wasn't really serious.

How much are we paying Babin to be an active scratch when we desperately need a boost in the pass rush?

Veteran minimum.

Eh Pees would probably drop him into coverage anyway.

Yea very puzzling. I'm all for having faith in your guys to step up and maybe Smith and company will, but you wanna get as much serviceable talent on the field as possible. Maybe something came up pregame.

Not even gonna lie, I'd rather see Babin active over Arthur Brown right now.

Cincy's backs are great coming out of the backfield...Need players that'll help cover that

Hopefully that pressure comes right up the middle

He does it with average Upshaw.

Yeah no idea why Upshaw was in coverage so much last week. It clearly is not one of his strong points.

So Perriman reinjurred himself. Lol. Of course.

I don't find any LOL about it. Probably pushing himself to get out on the field. Not good for the team and not good for that young man. Don't know that it is a re-injury yet either.

No. No its not.

It's great to be optimistic but being 0-3 in the conference and 3 games back in the division with a short week on the road against another division rival looming...yea, it's the season.

K is right...  NO, it's not...  these other teams haven't hit their tough part of the schedule yet...  5 out of 7 road games to start the season...  And 3 Division games....  No other team has that, except the Ravens...  We'll hit our stride...

I doubt Perriman re-injured himself. The story said he kept on catching more passes. If he re-injured himself, they would have stopped him from doing any more.

Yeah we had this discussion when the schedule came out. These first seven games are the toughest part of our schedule while it gets harder as the season rolls on for the rest of the AFCN.

I certainly hated our schedule when it came out. I felt the NFL really put it to us, but we are forced to play it. If we can get on a winning streak starting today things will start looking better down the road.

FINISH. Joe and the offense, we need  td's, especially in the 4th quarter (so far no 4th Q tds), finish those drives. Defense, buckle up, stop the Bengals and get off the field. FINISH and we win.
