[News] Breshad Perriman Returns To Practice

69 posts in this topic

Not till Thursday night. We were planning to play Cinncy without Breshard so let's follow through on it. I think it's still too soon to go up against NFL opponents who would hit him hard just to say "welcome to the NFL rookie". I wouldn't want him out for another long time. Sunday is a must win, but not worth injuring our no.1 pick.

That's gonna happen in every game he plays this season.

Thats nice, bur Im not getting excited until he plays on Sundays. According to Clifton Brown of CSN, he would be shocked if he plays before Steelers game, at best as mainly as a decoy deepthreat 3-4 packages just to force the safeties back and help run game and middle of the field passing. More likely though is week 5 vs Browns

I can't see him getting on the field with absolutely no chemistry with Flacco.

Doesn't take that much chemistry to run a vertical ;)

Although I agree with you that expecting him to play this week or even next week (Thursday) is unlikely.

as big of a flacco fan I am, I wouldnt put the blame on the receiving corps.

Looking at a lot of the plays Flacco's progression read was a bit slow or just locked on to one receiver..

i wont consider this in the denver game because he had absolutely no time to go through possesions...

Flacco's feet needs to improve i think as well

i see WR's open on plays he forces it to Steve Smith because he only looks that way...

Marlon Brown should be a quality top 20 WR ....

Outside of SSS and Gilmore, what receiver currently looks like he has chemistry w/ Flacco?

Yeah, but they will need to work on their timing.

He's been more elusive to spot than Bigfoot! Let's not get carried away though, and expect too much from him too early. Hopefully, he will pan out to be a premier WR, but he's been off the field for a long time now. He can't be expected to step on the field cold and save the season - he's gonna need help.

if it takes as long to get into a game as it did for him to get into a practice, we might first see him while were eating left over turkey.

Been waiting to read this headline everytime I log on the site.

I'm with ya on that one. Looking forward to the next one too, "Perriman listed as Probable"  :D

I don't understand all the silence and secrecy about Perriman's injury. The coaches don't give us much insight and Perriman for some strange reason hasn't and isn't willing to talk to the media. Seems most peculiar to me. Hope he's not a head case.

I'm not expecting him this week, to play, but we can win if we don't lose the turnover battle or have a colossal meltdown in the secondary. I've got some faith in our receivers on the active roster, but I've got a feeling they're going to be all over Sr. right from the start. Get M. Brown into a rhythm and Aiken and Camp. Be patient on offense, but definitely take shots down-field! Good luck Ravens. If we win, we beat one of the best teams in the league, same for Pitt. next week.

We all agree his timing and prep for Sunday or Thursday are not guareenteed. The coaching staff ought to give him a couple of  snaps in  the Cincy game to ascertain how far he can go before he plays up to  speed .  Catching balls at the 10 yard mark in practice will not test his primary skill set (over the top speed) that the Ravens and fans desire.

I don't blame Perriman for avoiding the media. Who wants to be grilled? He's just a kid only 22. Probably a smart thing to do. He could be the secret weapon and shock the world. That's what I am hoping for and hoping he is everything we thought he could be but have never had.

Joe has missed wide open receivers that have been practicing since June. I don't expect he will be able to find Perriman for a couple of months,

Could Perriman play Sunday? That would be great to have a deep threat Finally!!

Don't count on it Lol. He's missed all of practice & pre-season. We have a short week after Cinci with the Steelers on Thursday night so it'll be interesting to see if he makes a return for that game. But I seriously doubt we'll see him Sunday, and I wouldn't be upset either. He needs time to get acclimated with our offense and Joe Flacco in practice.
