The Madden Cover Curse

Do you believe in the Madden Curse? There is decent supporting evidence from each version. Favre & the Jets choke to miss out on the playoffs, Mangini gets fired, he leads the league in interceptions.

Does it exist? If your favorite team's star player was going to be on the cover, would you care about it at all? Or is it just a silly notion.

There is no Madden Curse! Football is a full contact sport, if you made it through the season with out any injuries then you must have been sitting on the bench. As far as B. Favre goes, when has he not been injured?

Brett Favre just sucks and it ain't no curse haha dude leads the nfl in ints everyyear, i think it's laughable he's mentioned among the greatest with the likes of Marino,Unitas,Tarkenten and Manning

Umm he played in 6 games contributing 38 tackles and leading many to believe he couldn't play in the 3-4 defense? How exactly did he overcome again?

That was the year after.. Madden games are always released a year early.. Just like how Madden 09' came out in 08'.. Ray lewis broke his arm in '05.. Madden '05(the madden Ray Lewis was on) was released on September 14th 2004.. During that '04 season at which the game had already been released, Ray Lewis had 146 tackles in 15 games.. The 2004 NFL season started on September 9, 2004 and ended on January 2, 2005.. The only downside to his performance was 0 INTs which isnt unlikely for a LB.. Those 0 INTs are overshadowed by the 100 Solo tackles and 46 assisted tackles Ray had.. Doesnt seem too cursed to me..

The obvious choice for the cover would be someone from either the Steelers or the Cardinals, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Matt Ryan. For some reason he keeps popping up when you least expect it.
