I'm starting to think that the reason behind everything was harbaugh was trying to avoid a sense of urgency and with the state of our inexperienced wide receivers he didn't want anybody to panic and think the sky was falling. Which is why initially he said day to day... Then a week or two ... Then before the end of training camp ... And so on. He just kept kind of stalling and buying time so the narrative before the season opener wouldn't be a "weakness at the wide receiver position" type of thing. If that makes any sense ? Anyway just a thought. Obviously things didn't go according to plan and things starting to unravel as I'm sure he didn't imagine us starting out 0-2

If not Perriman, why not Waller?  Since we were in close games I suppose the coaching staff relies  on SSS and Croc rather than dependence on the rook.  If he could get downfield then perhaps his effect as a decoy could support our short pass game. Denver does not use a long game and they come back with two wins. However, I must say their D looks like what we once had.
