[News] Will Jason Babin Play This Week?

32 posts in this topic

Put him in, he can't do much worse than what we've seen so far. He does have the experience, hopefully, he still has some fire and ability to get after quarterbacks. Dalton needs to be pressured.

Ready and anxious to see what Babin can contribute in the pass rush, etc. Last week's defensive performance without QB pressure and only 1 J. Smith sack was depressing. Hope Babin and the rest of the D disrupt the Bengals offense, hold up late in the game and FINISH to seal the win.

Babin is the type of attitude we need to bring some nastiness back to the defense. Especially heading into a 3 game stretch vs AFC North foes. I hope that guys like Babin and Courtney and Timmy can start to establish us as a feared physical unit once again! I am afraid that since Pees came here we are known for having some good athletes on that side of the ball but not too many teams fear our defense anymore. I hope that Babin and company can begin to restore that moniker for us, in spite of Pees soft play calling! Go get Dalton and then Big Jen

I think his attitude is needed more than his pass rushing skills, although if he still has something left in the tank, I'll take it too.

We're going to need a couple "Rah-Rah" guys and we know we have one on Offense in SSS. Now, we'll have another energetic fireball on our team.

Way to go. Hope it helps!

Please uneasy Babin he is relentless regardless of age. These games up until the bye are critical and we don't have any more time to experiment. Him and Doom need to get to the QB.

P.S.- if Pees doesn't call an aggressive game and we see him dropping 7 and 8 guys into coverage with our corners playing 10 yards off and our lineman not having their hands in the dirt, we must sign a petition to get his non-aggressive play calling off our team.

I think she should of started last week @ Raiders but Harbs decided to start some rookie instead which i knew it was a mistake before even watching the game, But it turns out the massive failure proved me correct. I don't know about Dean Peas...Seriously i doubt the Ravens will let him go during this year since the season already started, But for the Love of all that is Purple in this world. Ravens need to find a Defensive Coach that's more aggressive in play calling but in coaching the players as well. I know this is stupid but i don't like when any of our Coaches are in the Boxes view the game from above, I like it when there on the field with the players...that's another reason i dislike Dean Peas

I wonder who's idea it was to only let 46 players be activated. Why not all 53? What was the thinking there?

It was done for "competitive balance" so that a team with injured players won't be outnumbered by a healthy team.

Who knows if choosing to suit Babin over Smith would have made any difference? Of course, no one can. Personally, I doubt it. But, still, I think I would have opted for the veteran, the experienced guy. He's certainly not the rusher he once was, but he's a vet and I would have chose to suit him. So what, though, right? LOL

Uh, I think Babin is a he. LOL. I So agree with your post. Pees has to go, but I'm not quite as sure as you that it won't happen before this season is over. It's needed at least as badly as it was with Cam Cameran, and Harbs did it during the season that time. I have a feeling that things are not too warm and fuzzy with Harbs concerning Pees by now. Wish the Colts would fire Pagano but even if they did he'd just be a rental. Someone would give him another HC job. I even agree with your preference for the coaches being on the field. Never liked seeing them upstairs. I want them on the field with their players, looking them in the eye, talking to them, getting more of a feel for them. Talking to All of them by headset is not possible. Get on the field, Pees. That way Harbs can yell at you face to face.

Get Jason in there and lets see what we have, last week is over, and the defense did not look to good. Lets make a better showing this week and drop Dalton in the backfield!!! GO RAVENS!!!

Just praying that D.Pees has a gameplan that will get the job done. I find it hard to believe that Babin will have any impact if our Dbs are playing 10y cushions on Wrs and they exploit us via short slants and short plays all day. Babin wont even get to the Qb before the ball is in the air. after watching a replay of the game, this style osf defense does NOT suit the personnel we have on the field. I love the pickup but am more concerned about Pees and his ability to coach the Defense wit hour current staff

It was done because the coaching staff had seen enough and knows enough on Babin; not so much on Smith. So they gave Smith a shot against what they thought was going to be an easy offense but then they were proven wrong. After 2 weeks of practice I would expect to see Babin in pads this week and on the field. Too important of a game to have a rookie over a veteran
