i just cant stand L.Webb anymore. he doesnt remotely resemble the physical player he once was. Im praying that Will Davis blossoms here with this team. Also hope that J.Smith gets back to shut down play. He looked scared after Cooper toasted him on that Td. I cant see why the Dbs are playing so conservative unless the coaches just falt out dont trust them to play press coverage. We are seemingly just letting teams take what they want via pass plays and "hoping" that they tackle quickly. Not anything any offense would be scared of...in fact i would think that is what they want

According to RSR Davis was brought in to possibly replace Arrington not Webb. Did anyone see "Do Your Job"? Belichick talks about Kyle Arrington that once he's beat basically done and never recovers the whole game. He got beat a lot Sunday.

I don't think there's any question he was the best corner on the field for us on Sunday. 

 

Overall, didn't think he played poorly and I'd have bet he had a respectable grade. 

 

Think people just go in assuming he will play bad and if they don't see him come up with an interception or something then they assume he gets a failing grade. Not the case...

Possibly, but Davis is a project. I don't suspect him to have a role in anything other than ST this season, barring at least 2 significant injuries.

 

Once Melvin gets back healthy, Davis is the fifth corner at best, and I don't expect that to change. It'd be much more likely that once Melvin gets healthy, and they wanted to replace Arrington in the starting lineup, that they'd move Webb back to the slot and put Melvin on the outside.

 

Just don't see a clear path for a guy like Davis to the starting lineup...

I think the only ones panicking is the media. The Seahawks are 0-2 but I don't hear any of this crap about them. It's for sure the next few games are important but if the whole team shows up we will be fine. Go Ravens.
