Actually there was a break down in our coverage. Which is also a break down in preparation. Which also means that our guys (on defense) did not go with their heads right. In conclusion, lets just travel our road games the old fashion regular way please. No more of this "were on vacation away from Baltimore!" stuff

If the two calls from the officials at the end of each game went the other way the Ravens would be be 2 and 0. It isn't far fetch to think that could have happened. The bounce of a ball and the subjective split second determination of an official can change a teams destiny from heroes to bums. I think part of the problem in the erratic play lies in how coaches view preseason games. The starters don't practice enough in real game situations to gel and be on top of their game for the regular season. I think the Ravens have a chance to climb out of the hole they have dug. If they win the next 2 games they will be even with the Steelers and potentially even with the Bengals. If they lose the next 2 games we can all start looking at mock drafts for next year.

Joe Flacco has thrown a game sealing interception in all of his last 3 starts (New England, Denver, and Oakland). There's a fine line between 3-0 and 0-3

0-2 isn't the worst thing in the world... We have a favorable back end to our schedule, 2 weeks out west to start is a tough situation... RELAX

I don't know about the new guy, but maybe he's going to be good. I was hoping for better from Webby, honestly. He tripped over himself and cost us a touchdown pass to a wide open receiver. I hope he rebounds, and Jimmy Smith needs to rebound, too. He gave up a bunch of chunk plays yesterday. I know Harbs is pissed about all of those penalties, too. I hope we learn not to be frustrated and react, because we need to be flawless the rest of the way to even catch a wild-card. Beat Cincy! We have the best Home-Field advantage in the league! The Ravens are going to need a loud crowd to drive them on to victory. And no Boo-ing them either! I hope the fans don't turn on another possible slow start.

I blame the secondary (cornerback position) squarely on Ozzie. We knew it was an issue last year, and it's still an issue this year. Ladarius is a good dude, but why does Ozzie fall in love with him and let someone like Torrey Smith or Jacoby Jones (we also need a returner) go??? It doesn't make sense to me, Ozzie. I predicted we wouldn't make the playoffs this year because this team doesn't have any chemistry and skilled playmakers- I doubt this will change when Perriman gets off his butt and finally plays. Flacco isn't a top tier qb who can will his team to win games based upon his own abilities- why do we have a wr rotation every year, and I thought it was bad that we only had one true veteran (Steve Smith) on the team to mentor the younger receivers- this is also something that Ozzie probably didn't think about either. He will never spend money on good receivers, even if they're our own- history has proven this. Also, I have a feeling that both Yanda and Osmele will both be out of here at the end of the year because Ozzie will try to lowball them both as well- mark my words...

Bolstering their secodary? Really? Didn't we just watch Miami get torched by Jacksonville? If this guy was available it is because he wasn't good enough to play in their secondary, the same secodary that just got lit up like Christmas. Oh, yeah, he is really going to make a difference for the Ravens. Good grief.

While I agree with you that the walls are not yet falling, I still am concerned. Not because of the 0-2 record, but because of the way this team has played. Granted, D was dominant in 1st week, O was potent in 2nd week.

But the fact of the matter is, Pees' bend-but-don't-break defense is not capable of closing out opponents, which we saw so often last season in close games and sadly enough again last week. At the same time, despite all the talk about not changing our offensive identity, we haven't seen anything that even remotely resembles our last years offense over the first 2 weeks from Trestman. Almost no power run formations, seriously struggling running game except 2-3 draw plays which I guarantee you the Bengals will be ready for, and seriously if-y play calling in the last 2 minutes of games.

Bottom line is, our defense will not shut out anyone with Pees as coordinator thus we can not leave any of our games to be decided by our defense. At the same time, I'm not sure when Trestman's new offense will be ready to carry this team. It has not happened in the first 2 weeks and I'm afraid it won't happen in the next 2 either.

It seems for the last few years at least Joe has been hamstrung by the one thing everyone agrees he excels at: his canon arm. I recall great sideline over the shoulder passes even before the SB MVP. Most of those have disappeared despite Marlon's proven ability to grab them. I don't expect the Ravens to dream up plays that allow him to throw across his body on the run the way Aaron Rodgers does. Rodgers also has some superlative receivers to make him look good. But the whole game plan for the Ravens seems to center on Joe's long bomb. Similarly Ben's game plan allows him to scramble. The point is Trestman needs to expand the possibilities for Joe to become the guy who can carry his team on Sunday under adverse game conditions. You can be a believer in defenses win championships, running games open the aerial attack and also expand Joe's role.

0-2 is a problem because we still have to face the NFC and AFC West, plus our division games.

Picking up a guy who has been inactive first 2 weeks, and 10 months off an ACL injury. I think that says a lot about our defensive backs. Keep ignoring it in the draft though and scrape the waiver wire for dumpster value. They should have drafted a corner this year. Webb has fallen off a cliff.

David Amerson was cut by the skins.  He was a 2nd round pick back in 2013.  Probably should be playing FS, but was listed as a CB and has started many games for them.

Ladarius is a good dude, but why does Ozzie fall in love with him and let someone like Torrey Smith or Jacoby Jones (we also need a returner) go??? It doesn't make sense to me, Ozzie.

You can make any separate argument about Jones if you like, but you say this as if we could have kept Torrey if we just got rid of Webb. Getting rid of Webb would have done very little for our cap and would have created a ton of dead money. Do you think Torrey is worth the contract he was paid? If we paid it, I can virtually guarantee that in 2 years you'd be out here trashing Ozzie for giving a fat contract to a guy we could easily replace, because all he can do is run fast and stretch the field,

Ozzie "fell in love" with Webb when he was on the verge of being a pro-bowl corner - before the injuries. Do you remember? When he was tendered, everyone was freaking out that someone was going to cough up a 1st rounder to grab him. Pay the man, everyone screams. He's signed and everyone's happy. He gets hurt and struggles to regain the form he had when we signed him and we say, how could Ozzie have been so dumb?

The only option we had was to try and get Webb to reduce his number, which we did (and is not a given) and hope that he can work his way to being at least serviceable. If he cannot get back to at least close to the form he needs to be to warrant his salary next year, he will be cut and we'll use the sizeble space freed to repair the position.

I wish a chain of events would happen so Rex Ryan would come back as our D. coordinator. The same way Kubiak, Cameron, and Trestman lost their HC jobs to return to coordinator positions. I feel like Rex's life would be better if he returned as a D Coordinator.

Doubt it, Buffalo looks pretty good so far, and I think Rex and Harbaugh would be butting heads all of the time if he was here. Something definitely has to change though. Interesting how we can never make any "in-game" adjustments; we keep trying the same thing, hoping for a different outcome (don't they call that insanity?).
