[News] Crockett Gillmore Shows His Bulldozing Side

28 posts in this topic

He clearly is the best producing guy on the team outside of Steve Smith and we didn't go back to him until like the last 3 plays of our last possession. I am on the record as not liking Trestman's play calling and I think we can do something other than throw a wide receiver fade to two of the smallest players on the team when we get to the red zone. I personally am disgusted with Trestman and all I can do is be ticked off at Denver for taking Kubiak.

Raiders did a great job in the 2nd half of jamming him, as they showed in their analysis several times.

He simply had to work a lot harder to get open in the 2nd half, and it was more difficult for him. That's why he didn't get the ball nearly as much.

Gilmore is my favorite player to watch when he has possession of the ball. Nothing makes me happier than seeing guys hanging off of Gilmore trying to drag him to the ground, or bouncing right off of him or simply getting bulldozed and run over like a tank. Gilmore is an absolute gem who will only get better. Also, I saw on NFL Network that our guy Gilmore ranked at the top of TE's for fantasy football this week. I don't care about fantasy football but I sure was happy to see Gilmore at the top of the TE heap above Gronk.

Gilmore was in Beast Mode yesterday, running over defenders....Loved it...Makes it very tough for teams to defend all our pass catching players...

Gillmore has been a beast. I said it back when we first let go Owen Daniels and I knew he would be the starter. But he cannot do it alone, we all saw how the Raiders adjusted to double teaming Gillmore after his 2nd catch. We need our other receivers to step up as well and make plays.

Ladies and gentlemen crockett the rocket gillmore!!!. I love the dude, but what about, Maxx Williams was he or was he not the number one tight end coming out of the draft, he has only two catches so far, we are not even giving him a chance. It makes me kind of mad actually, we have yet to utilize his full potential.

He is a slower version of Gronk with the football in his hands. Once he get rolling, get out of the way, unless you want to go for a ride with him. Week 1, I was asking myself why we didn't target him more over the middle. Now Trestman just needs to learn basic football principles of winning, and making Oakland burn those timeouts so a worst case scenario is a Derek Carr FG drive and Overtime.

Crockett Gilmore had me spilling Long Islands he and Triple " S "! GOOD GAME! Keep slinging that Rock the WRs are getting comfortable but the long balls can go to the TEs for now and use the WRs as decoys for now until it really opens up for Joe! GO no huddle against the bungles and especially the squeelers cause they will be honoring jerome bettis and it will be a very pumped environment as usual! No huddle and threw and four receiver sets will crush them both! Run later much later!

There's one new good target for Joe, I think Gilmore will only get better as the season goes on. They said he worked really hard in the off season and it shows, and a little competition with Williams doesn't hurt either.

I've been saying it all along since the Ravens drafted this guy that he would be much better than anyone gave him credit for. His whole, "I'm just a blocker" mentality is a great approach for a team like the Ravens, but I knew better and anyone paying attention to what I've been saying should've known better. The guy lettered in 4 sports in high school (wrestling, basketball, track and field, football), and has played WR before. He also switched back and forth between DE & TE in college. Sure he's not exactly blazing, but he's just fast enough and after the catch he's a load to bring down. At 6'7'' he's a great target and he busted his butt all off season to get stronger. Hard worker. The only thing that stopped him is when they doubled him and that left Steve Smith Sr. open and also paved the way for Aiken to get some catches. "Maxximum Overdrive" Williams seemed to suffer from turbo lag against the Raiders.

this guy needs to be a big part of our offense from now on. a lot of people here were knocking him after they drafted Maxx, but i think i was one of the few people on this board that wasn't sleeping on Crockett. the dude is huge and a lot more athletic than he lets on. he's totally a lot faster than he looks but he doesn't rely on speed he'd much rather dish out punishment which is nice and what we need.

this is one game he is not Gronk. But he is a bright spot so far this season. Now they just have to make sure he stays a Raven for more than 3 or 4 years.

Yet you kept goin' to Smith in the end zone. This guy is a match up nightmare, gotta use him more with Smith and Marlon Brown as the best endzone options

I see this guy as a lead blocker in the backfield, too, at the goal line. Yet again. just give him the ball at the goal line.

This dude is an absolute monster!! need to get him more targets especially in big situations and the Redzone!! I love Smith Sr, but it seemed like Joe would follow him with his eyes and all the defenders knew where he was going! The gist of what im saying, play him every down he can physically manage cause he can be a lead blocker or a pass catcher and they desperately need to get Maxx out there on the other end!! We need to start running 2 tightend sets to help our left tackle until Monroe returns!

I had no idea that Gillmore was that much of a beast. Play that man!

I had been saying it since last year when Owen Daniels was the starter. they could have been started Gillmore. This is what I saw.... 6-foot-6 TE... Raised in Texas.... round 3 draft pick, he kept quite and stayed out of trouble. Then during the offseason he did special weight training with offensive linemen and gained 15 extra pounds of muscle. I knew he would be special i was just hoping he would get his shot. Im not trying to toot my horn, but...toottt tooooottttt
