Well we'll see who is right in a few years, assuming his bones can hold up lol.

This previous WR class has not been as instantly rewarding as 2014

so far, but you cant really make that the standard because that was an insane class, although i think in the long run ODB and amari cooper are duking it out for the top spot.

I think it's more along the lines of: I made some general observations sparked by things you or others may have said, and you just take it as a personal criticism. I understood what you said.

But who said anything close to those comments you made? Nobody. I'm not buying your rationale here, but whatever. It's not a big deal but people misinterpreting what I say is a big pet peeve of mine and you weren't the only one to misinterpret what I felt like was a pretty clear comparison. Perhaps it wasn't clear enough on my end.

A confession: I have already started the fan speak on the clock mock draft simulator. Uggh

Probably ought to put this draft stuff away until at least January but.....I probably won't.

It is never to early for the draft

I think most of us here would be thinking of the draft even if we were 6-0.

That's the main reason why I watch college--I like the process of observing players develop into pros. (I probably wouldn't be saying this if I wasn't a Maryland fan :( )

what round do you think mike williams becomes worth the injury risk?

not enough injured in Ravens? let's draft another one!

my choice - Cooper , Dural

im also a huge dural fan, but the thing about williams injury is that its a bone fracture, that doesnt tend to be a recurring injury like ligament tears and things like that, granted a fractured neck bone is more serious than your typical fracture, but its still a bone injury and if hes cleared to play again then it should be a nonfactor in the long term

theres a difference between a freak injury and a injury prone player. and if mike williams' freak injury slides him to the 3rd or 4th round, i dont care about the risk anymore, you take that chance because he has serious superstar potential.

I don't think he was 100% ruled out as done for the year, at least not yet as far as I know (any updates?). Maybe he'll at least play a couple games at the end of the year.

If I remember him correctly, he seemed like another speed merchant like Martavis Bryant. Am I wrong on that?

I think Mike Williams will be worth taking in the 2nd round if others passed on him. Yes, it could be a risky pick, but there's only a couple other players that might be available early in the second round that would be a better pick. The Ravens would have to do their homework on the injury and make sure he can still play, but they could get possibly the best receiver in the class in the 2nd round.

thats how i feel, i think mike williams, without his injury, has a very high floor, hes 6'4" and moves like hes 6'0, hes big and strong, he has good speed, good catch radius, good tenacity, decent routes, he isnt exactly stellar anywhere but with his size and speed and hands he is good enough in every department to be a legit #1. he may never be some 1500yd guy but i think if his injury never affects him, then he is good for 1000 yards a year

Let's be honest, we never get the players we need. We'll probably draft a DT or something.

That or TE, or ILB...  jk (kind of)

As the games have gone so far, the only optimistic thing to look forward to is what we do with a higher draft pick than we're used to getting. Getting a young clear cut #1 WR and then having a (hopefully) healthy Perriman to complement him sounds very appealing. If the stars line up and we get that... thoughts on a high second round pick? Secondary seems like a no-brainer unless true quality player/players were added thru FA

If we land somewhere in the top 3 I don't think we go with a wideout, I would rather have Ramsey, Hargreaves or Bosa.  Truthfully I think we can fix the wide receiver corps in free agency with a veteran addition (Vjax or Garcon?) or someone like Marvin Jones if we want to the UFA route.  Then draft a wideout in round 3 like Demarcus Robison or Pharaoh Cooper or someone that can add playmaking ability.  I am still hoping for a secondary player and pass rusher for our first two picks TBH.  Our defense needs the most attention.

I really like Josh Doctson. I think he'll end up in contention for the top WR spot. He reminds me a bit of Devante Parker actually.

Holy Crap Josh Doctson. It's like you were tailor made for Flacco.... I need more time scouting the guy, but his body control and hands are excellent.

What's Mega Pipe Dreamy about having 4 1st rounders?

Mega pipe dream would be an understatement.

Likely only 1 of those are first rounders(Ramsey)

Boyd is easily a first rounder and Doctson could easily make into the end of the first considering the season he's having. Nassib has how many sacks this year? 14.5 against good competition with a few games to go, again, could easily sneak into the end of the first

Just going to throw this out there, but Matt Miller talked to scouts that have Doctson as their number one receiver in the entire draft.

I'm not at all surprised. He's been brilliant. I think it's definitely close between him, Boyd and Treadwell; however, I personally think it's between Boyd and him with Treadwell outside.

Treadwell used to be my one, but I've grown to love Boyd because he's so smooth as a route runner. That's almost always a sign of instant success

I always had a hard time covering a WRs smooth in their routes over the speed guys. Needless to say I agree.

He reminds me some of Allen in terms of his routes. They're really good. For me my top 5 are:

Boyd

Doctson

Treadwell

Dural

Coleman

That's right now

Edit: Allen is a much better comparison in his routes.

I think we'd get a Keenan Allen type player with Boyd, which would be awesome. I have him, Doctson and Treadwell very close as of now.

Keenan Allen is exactly who I think of when watching Boyd.
