I think we'll take a flyer on a WR somewhere in the 4th round. But, I won't be surprised if we pick a QB before a WR though...

I also believe there are very interesting prospects that could fall to the end of the 4th.

Mike Thomas from Southern Miss is a very intriguing prospect.  Physically he has all of the tools to be a #1, but he just needs some refinement.  I'd definitely consider him with our first 4th rounder.

I was the first to mention him,  In the late round steal thread I think it was. He's mine,  back off:)

Yea Yeah guy I think can bring what jacoby did for us.   His ability to stop on a dime and accelerate remind me of Sanders.  He is a guy I will keep my eye on no matter where he goes

Might want to check the date  I posted about grant. Ill share him with you though?

Well done sir, I stand corrected.   But sadly VeiledPsychosis beat us both,  Oct of last year he posted about him. But we can push the wagon.. .

Seems like every WR I want Ravens to draft, Ozzie let's slip by (Keenan Allen, Allen Robinson, marqise lee) well marqise would probably have been a bad pick; and WR who I didn't want us to draft, we drafted first round (perriman)  but anywho.. So with that said,  Please don't draft Tyler Boyd or sterling Shepard.

lol reverse psychology much. I agree with the usage. No Tyler Shepard please.

I just have no idea what round to mock him in.

Not sure. I think he's worth a shot a with one of our 4th round compensatory picks. He can be really dynamic as a slot receiver and right away makes a difference in field position on special teams.

He could go later but I see him as different to any receiver on the roster and unique in this draft. Home run threat every time.

I Agree.  I would take him in a heart best in to the 4th. Jakeem grant,  yannick ngakoue,  Charles Tapper in the 4th, I would pass out

Demarcus Robinson may of been a drama player. But he is stare you down super focused right now!! He is the hardest working receiver in the draft as of now. Nobody comes close unless there is some receiver in this draft with a crazy work ethic yet to hear of. I know Robinson has 3 different trainers nutritionists.  Not to mention when it comes to raw talent he could be the most skilled in this draft. He is going to totally be a steal!! He will make up for missing out on the terp

Yes several. A trainer ( Todd Sweeney)who knows one of his trainers. And somebody who helped recruit him. No I'm not going to give her name. She is instrumental in recruiting athletes to Florida. She is not given any money she just likes the program and has a great commanding personality and helps the school. I have met Riley Cooper and Tim Tebow through her.

There is no doubt that Demarcus Robinson is a gifted athlete. His problems at Florida were those of character. While there he was lazy and failed multiple drug tests. Any team would have to be skeptical of any current behavioural changes so close to the draft. Character is shown over time. Character matters. Write it down!!

Kenny Lawler with one of the 4th round picks. Bigger hands than OBJ, He runs smooth and attacks the ball.

Character matters and he is maturing now. He is not just saying he changed. He is out working every wr in the draft.

I know a lot of people talk about Michael Thomas of Southern Miss, but does anyone have any thoughts on Casey Martin? I just watched some practice footage on him and he's clearly tiny, but good golly, this guy was so natural at just creating massive gaps in coverage. He also caught over 75% of the passes thrown his way.

I've been hearing his name quite often and how he could be the next Wes Welker. His route running from those 1v1s were impressive.

haha yeah I saw that I wasnt sure if the DBs were that bad but the routes were good.... sometimes he was faking a bit too much and he won't have that time in the Pros and I wonder what will he do when a physical corner can disrup his routes and has the closing speed to recover after the cut.

anyway would be interested to use him in motion thats for sure.

Im sticking with my guy Jakeem Grant from Texas Tech and heres why (pulled from my mock draft thread) - Jacoby Jones was so important to this team, yet he only caught 30, 37, 9 passes while here in Baltimore which is roughly two passes a game. We need that play making ability back in the return game, and you still have to account for him anytime he is on the field with that speed.   In no way am I saying draft him, throw him in the slot and expect 90 receptions a year, but check these numbers out:  In the 3 years Jones was here he totaled 980 yards in receptions with 3 TDs.  BUT, he totaled 3,875 yards with 5 TDs in return yards.  You think we had him here for his receiving skills?  If we could get Grant in the same ballpark I think he could do some damage.  Maybe the 4th is too early, but if we got that kind of production, I think it would be safe to say it was well worth it.  Drafting a guy strictly for his return abilities can pay huge dividends.  Tavon Austin is 2" bigger with the same weight and has had 40,31,52 in his 3 years with the Rams, Its not out of the question.  Also, remember how Trindon Holliday ran all over us? That year in Denver he had 2 receptions for 17 yards, BUT he had 1000 return yards.  He put up 14 points against us.  Oh yea, Holliday is smaller than Grant.  Just saying....

Article about him, author is way more optimistic about his receiving qualities than I am

It's also rumored he ran a 4.1x 40

Unfortunately Ngakoue and Tapper are showing 3rd round selections in mocks for the past two weeks. Guess the Ravens boards are read by many a mocker.

I have us taking Ngakoue in the 3rd in my mock draft thread.

What about Mortiz Boehringer? I know he is Raw but if we can pick him up in the 4th round and let him sit a year to learn from Smitty, I think he will be great next year starting opposite from Perriman.

But if we happen to trade back with the Titans, I would love to see Braxton Miller drafted with one of our three 2nd round picks.
