2016 WR Prospect Thread

I think Ramsey could be a guy we like a lot, I could imagine Pees going nuts for Hargreaves honestly. I do like Treadwell, wouldn't be a bad pick certainly. I personally think the 2nd round is the sweet spot for a WR for us personally, you'll have guys like Boyd, Doctson and Thomas or Coleman waiting to be picked there.

I think you are absolutely right.  Don't think we go with another first round WR.  Believe Ozzie will love Ramsey and Tunsil and Bosa are already gone.  I definitely won't mind that as I'm starting to warm up to him.  Love his versatility and I'd love for the D to be able to use him in some sort of hybrid role.

I think Pees is a Hargreaves kind of guy. He thrives in Man, Zone, and off-man. I know CBs can pick in choose whether they want to play press or off but there are plays that involve off-man, unless he decides to just allow his guys to have freedom like he allowed in the 2nd half of the year then I think he might be a Hargreaves guy but I do believe Ozzie will like Ramsey more, I think he'll be highly valued. I wouldn't have a problem with that, I wasn't a big Shane Ray fan but we valued him.

I wouldn't say Bosa will definitely be gone, I think some teams will question his fit and it wouldn't shock me if we did as well. I think he can be successful as a 3-4 OLB. I think as of now he would fall to No.4 to the Cowboys.

If there is any thought whatsoever that jack or smith could emulate kuechly in any way, you have to take them at 6.

I think he will be such a difference maker.  It seems after i put my mock up with us taking him at 6 a lot of people started talking about him more.

But we do need to draft a WR at some point, but if we wait till the 5th plus i think its wasted.

I would much prefer Myles Jack or Jalen Smith at 6 to Ramsey who got his hands on like 4 balls all year. Then maybe trade up in 25-30 for a receiver. Many of the mentioned receivers like Coleman Doctson Thomas are going round one!! I like Fuller. His routes are far more lightning and elegant than I thought!!

I agree completely.  Myles Jack with Tyler boyd is my ideal first two picks, but makes me nervous ignoring the pass rusher position.

Suprised you didnt comment in my mock thread, i had us taking Myles at 6.  He drastically improves our pass coverage, espeically middle of the field

he got his hands on so little balls because he pressed his man into the bleachers effortlessly for an entire season.

before that when he played a hybrid role rather than pure cb, he got his hands on plenty of balls he just wasnt coming down with them.

I know, that Oz won't go with a WR in the first, but I can't stress enough how much I want Treadwell to come to Baltimore. Joe never had a dynamic young receiver to throw the ball to and Tread looks like Dez Bryant Jr.. Everyone else seems more like a gamble to me.

Separation and his attitude seem to be the major gripes against him.

Some people see him as arrogant and he tends to take off some plays.

ehh, you show me someone humble and I'll show you someone good. The best are almost always over confident. Even Ray Lewis, he knew he was the man. Troy Polamalu was a great man, but he'd turn his back to the qb and run to a spot because he knew he could. I need more proof for outright arrogance.

I haven't looked at his vertical, I'd assume we will see that come combine, but he seems to do pretty well in jump ball situations so I have optimism that he can get some altitude when he needs to.

Haven't heard any concerns about the other altitude either, that one was more on Nkemdiche I think.

I remember people said similar things about Mike Evans. To the point, that some thought he's overrated. I'd trade our entire WR corps for Evans.

Jack is shorter than Kuechly but he reminds me a lot of him, honestly.

Now that the east west game has happened LETS HEAR SOME THOUGHTS ON SMALL SCHOOL RECEIVERS,SLEEPERS AND UNDERRATED PROJECTED MID ROUND RECEIVERS!! Not as an only receiver drafted but if the ravens were to draw2, which receiver(s) do you like that are projected round3 or later??

I think Rashard Higgins has the chance to be a really good NFL receiver. He's a great route runner, and is really good at getting separation from defenders. Plus, he comes from a prostyle offense. He might turn out to be one of the biggest sleepers in this draft.

although not a small school, I like Sterling Shephard, from Oklahoma, and believe he could be had in round three.

Hollywood Higgins is the real deal bro. His combine will determine if he's a second rounder or a 4th.

Would be nice if he fell to round 4. That Would be a steal and would allow us to grab Either a guy like Thompson or a Pass rusher that may Slide into the third.

He will move up and he'll be highly sought after. He will be snatched up by NE or the 49er's. He's currently mocked to the Patriots and seems logical and Beli-check likes the shifty types. If the Ravens sleep on Boyd or Shepard it will be a failed draft in terms of getting top flight production. I know there are others that say Fuller is the better prospect but I disagree with the analysis. I have had read a report that says Boyd has the best route running of them all as he sets up the db to fail while thinking ahead and adjusting his routes with chess like thought processes. It was written on the site called Draft wire. If we went with Treadwell i'd assume Ozzie wouldn't address the position again until it's too late to acquire either Boyd or Shepard. He will have to pluck them from the grasp of another team. And suspect some team will see greater value and move up to acquire them We all know that the position will get hit hard and early. I favoring a defensive player over Teadwell because when can get equal production from Boyd and Shepard. My line up consist of SSSr/Boyd/Shepard/Aiken/Perriman/and maybe a free agent acquisition of some sort.

I hope Ozzie knows he'll have to maneuver and keep his cards very close to his vest. Loose lips sinks ships. If you pal around with them others will take notice. Just like they raid our staff/coaches they'll surely sabotage the process. Teams love Ravens like players and those that are projected to us.

That could be possible, considering Diggs went in the 5th round last year.

I'm not a huge Fuller fan, think he is too much of a passive ball catcher and it could slow his growth in the NFL.   Shepard is a much better prospect and if we don't take Treadwell, I'd love to see either Boyd or Shepard on the Ravens.

Definitely not getting both Boyd and Shephard.

Are you familiar with Draft Wire. I will concede there is great value elsewhere. I am just enamored with fixing the woeful receiving corp once and for all. I think the only plausible way is to trade out of 6 and move back. Our 2 and trade partner's 2 and three would likely get it done. I like pro bowl players but not at the total expense of acquiring immediate playmakers at various positions. The free agent period will be critical in gauging the likelihood of specific players being available at the pick projected. Ozzie should be in a room with Flacco's agent collared up against a wall in Dirty Harry Mode lol. "You gonna give us the money", Give us the Money !

Key is you never know with Oz. He's double dipped on positions before. He took tightens and linebackers frequently. It maybe time to start a new trend. It's long over due and it hasn't worked just getting one for whatever reason with Torrey being the only exception. I can dream, right ? Right!

Meet paul mcroberts, small school big time player and kid. Measured in at the senior bowl at 6'1 202 hands 9 3/4, arms 33 1/2. Looks good on tape, very athletic but it is small school, lets see what he does at the senior bowl

I heard some great things about MC. It will be real interesting indeed.

Paul McRoberts out of southeast Missouri state is interesting. Huge receiver with long arms and huge hands. Has a knack for making circus catches and is slippery after the catch.

appears huge on film. Could be interesting in later rounds.
