I might be in the minority but I think we will be picking in the teens we need to grab boyd or Treadwell if there or if they are gone take floyd and take a corey Robinson or doctson in the second

After watching six games extensively, I think I like Boyd more than Treadwell. Boyd is a really nice prospect and I'll admit I'm slightly a sucker for a guy who our position coach already knows.

Did Engram coach him? Must have been his true freshman season...

I really like him because he's just been a beast the three times I've seen him play Tech. He tore them up last year and beat Kendall Fuller pretty bad at times.

Only flaw with Tyler Boyd is frame. He is notably thin.

Perriman who is the same height has 30 pounds on him and Perriman is probably faster.

I'm actually thinking Treadwell won't go as high as you all are thinking. I predict him having average combine numbers; teams might question his ability to separate as a pro (like Jordan Matthews or Allen Robinson, Jaelen Strong). Still a first rounder, but not a top-10 pick. Boyd is a top-10 pick.

Also thought Robinson looks really awkward running and catching, as many big men do. He seems like a project, and we've already got one of those in Waller.

thats why i soured on him after re-watching his stuff. he flails worse than any player i think ive ever seen, and as skinny as he is, it just seems like an injury waiting to happen, plus he just lacks fluidity, good body control but his movement is just horrible.

Yes it is, I don't think Perriman should be below Boyd but then again we haven't seen him play yet.

if we were to draft boyd next year, he will be our #1 over perriman, probably by week 1. just the difference in the playstyles is so drastic as boyd is more prototypical #1 and a concrete lock to contribute, while perriman still has question marks and a playstyle that is suited to be more complementary than feature.

basically, he can be the best #2 in the league by far, and  compete for top 10 in yardage and YPC, but i dont know if hes catching 80 balls a year like a #1 should, as a matter of fact i doubt he ever reaches that caliber, boyd will.

he also isnt on treadwells level when it comes to ball skills, and im not just referring to posting up and boxing out, i mean attacking the ball. he has more of a fadeaway type of catching style as opposed to treadwells "stop on a dime, go to the ball, attack it and snag it" catching style. i like boyds athleticism, i like treadwells tenacity, i really see the next AJ green with treadwell

To be fair Perriman has an extremely rare height/weight/speed combo so it's hard compare other guys to him in that regard Edited by ravefan52

What do you guys think of Demarcus Robinson?

Sounds like he might need some kind of personal handler ala Dez Bryant for a few years to keep him out of trouble. He's good at getting open though, and he seems to run routes well for his size. Not sure about his hands though.

Matt Miller has Mike Williams (Clemson) as his best receiver with Treadwell as his two and Boyd as his three. He has Treadwell as having the best hands and Boyd as being the best route runner.

With Mike Williams out for the year it is going to be hard for Matt Miller to justify that one come draft time...I really like Michael Thomas, love his size/speed combination. I am not sure he is going to be a huge playmaker in the NFL but I could see him doing very well in a low end #1 role or high end #2 WR role..Also Braxton Miller has looked impressive at WR, he may be one to watch.

If he's healthy for the combine or the draft, it won't matter that he's out for the year. As players like Gurley have shown, if you're good for the season, your body of work will make up for the injury. I don't think Jack will suffer because of his injury and Williams shouldn't.

I don't watch prospects until the college season ends because a lot can happen in a season, but I thought it was interesting that no one brought him up

There's a handful or receivers I like more than him: Treadwell, Boyd, Mike Williams, Mike Thomas, and Doctson. However, I wouldn't mind taking Robinson if he falls into the second round. A Healthy Perriman and Robinson would be very hard to keep covered.

Any thoughts on Geronimo Allison from Illinois other than his epic name? good size at 6'4", little underweight for his size at 200lbs but not terrible, good speed and hands

Nice catch by Treadwell today.

As a prospect he's growing on me a lot as I watch more of him. He and Perriman would make quite the duo, and I certainly wouldn't be mad if we took him at 32.

Where's the defender? That catch means NOTHING if it wasn't in an actual game. Aiken can probably Do that if there's no one covering him.

It's not a routine catch. It's still tough to do. It was over the shoulder and he had to adjust, looked nice to me.

I like Travin Dural a lot. I feel like he would be much more discussed if Brandon Harris wasn't one of the worst starting QB in FBS. He's a great deep threat with some nice hands and he'll likely be underrated due to LSU's lack of passing and Lenny Fournette's emergence. I think he could likely be had as late as the third round but he is at least a 2nd round talent in my eyes. He had a real good game against South Carolina last night.

Cayleb Jones is another guy I feel is a little underrated. He had a fantastic year for Arizona last year and he has got some nice size at 6'3'. He is off to a bit of a slow start but he is more of a 4th/5th round guy to look into.

Well, it was in a game and it's still a tough catch. The reason you see no defender is because he broke the defenders ankles off the line

Then I guess he's our first round pick.

I'm not sold on Treadwell. You guys remember Jaelen Strong? Lol

The ONLY gripe people had with Strong was that he couldn't seperate. Treadwell doesn't have that problem.

treadwell is closer to julio jones/aj green, jaelen strong is more along the lines of boldin

The way I think of Treadwell, and I've said this like three times now, is to think of Jeffery (whom many wanted to trade for) and Boldin, but add explosion and speed.

Treadwell is overhyped. He's not a bad prospect but is nowhere close to the people who have come out the past two years that went in the top ten imo.

He got open. Just because I say he's overhyped, like Derrick Henry, it does not mean he's bad.

That I can agree with. I feel like if we end up picking in the 13-17 kinda range he'd be a great pickup, but I'd probably take Hargreaves, Ramsey, Stanley etc over him if they're there.

ehh i think his potential to gain separation looks pretty superior to them, but of course that remains to be seen.

Love Treadwell. Plays with fire, something we will be lacking without Sr. Reminds me of Dez at Oak. St. and would be a perfect compliment to Perriman. It looks like we could be in a position to actually get this guy too.

Tyler Boyd and Treadwell are my top 2 WRs this year from what I have seen so far, depending on where we pick I would be happy with either mid to early first.

Need to look into Doctson more from TCU but I liked what I saw from what I have seen.

In terms of player comps, I see another potential Brandon Marshall when I am watching Treadwell while Boyd reminds me quite a bit of Keenan Allen but I think Boyd is a bit more explosive. I think both are guys who could be good security blankets for Joe and would make excellent compliments to a hopefully healthy Perriman.
