[News] Defense Falters In First Test Without Terrell Suggs

Kind of a retrospect comment but...glad to be out of Oakland besides obvious reason...but also because... hated their stadium. Ugly dirt diamond left over in mid field and no football logos in mid or end zones. Looks like little league venue, just was overall not great to play there. Bet the players are glad to be back home. Tomorrows a new day!

Yeah, never was a fan of the stadium.

Good news is, by all accounts, we will never play football in that stadium again most likely.

Dean Pees needs to leave, Start Melvin and bench Webb, he can't cover a plate.

Very well could happen... if Melvin were actually healthy, which he is not.

This notion of not "overpaying" verterans or making big free agent signings, being dedicated to rebuilding through the draft, is our own undoing. We let all our good players just walk away because they were "too expensive". The problem is that we end up picking 20-something in the draft every year and now were stuck with all the middle of the pack mediocre picks. If youre going to suck this year, do it right like the colts did to get andrew luck, throw this one away and get a top pick. Being realistic, we are obviously not a contender this year, so dont get stuck in the middle of the pack again. SMH

Well, truth be told, there just aren't more than maybe 2-3 guys that we let walk away that were "too expensive" that we really regret letting go, and that's over the last probably 3-4 years.

If you actually look at the guys we let walk in FA for big contracts, its hard to find many, if any, that are impressive right now elsewhere. Some of them have flat out failed.

Paying everybody top dollar just simply doesn't work in the NFL... its literally impossible to win that way.

Are you seriously advocating that you want us to not try to win? You want us to purposely throw games? Look, I know it kind of sucks drafting at the bottom every year but, all things considered, that just indicates that we've been successful. That's a Good thing, not a bad thing. I don't want Any players who wouldn't Always want to win. Yeah, it'd be nice to have a low draft pick, but I'd rather get it by trading since we always have an abundance of picks (compensatory). But, even then, I would only want that to happen if a really unbelievably Awesome player became available that we could trade up for. And, to be honest, we all know how Ozzie loves his draft picks, so don't look for that to happen. Sorry, but I can't endorse your thought. I want to win as many games as we can. Let me tell you something. Once you really start losing regularly, quite often it's very hard to break that losing mentality. I think we want All our players to hate losing even more than they love winning.

Harbs, will you PLEASE, PLEASE fire Dean Pees? Remember when the Ravens were known for having good defenses? No more. And, Harbs, will you PLEASE, PLEASE have a serious sit down and talk to Trestman about his play calling? It leaves a lot to be desired. Are you Sure you hired the right man for his job? He didn't lose all those other jobs, bounce around to so many teams, and seriously consider giving up coaching for No reason. C'mon, Harbs, it's time to seriously try to salvage this season. You say that "we have to get better". Well, do something to give us a chance to do that, will you?

how about torrey and anquan? wish we had paid those 2 to stay

Why?

All you're doing is trading Anquan for Steve Smith, since the latter wouldn't be here if Anquan was here.

Far too early on Torrey to make any sort of assessment. In week 1, he was about as productive as Breshad Perriman was. And last week, her certainly put up great numbers... once the game was out of reach.
