Bisciotti can't be happy

95 posts in this topic

As a former business owner myself, I can tell you that an owner will sit back for only too long.  He'll let his feelings be known, if he hasn't already.  To state that he likes his money more than W/L is by far not a very educated comment when it comes to business.  The proof is in the PSL seat prices and how they fluctuate based on the success of the team, the desire for the fans to be there, and their ability to sell out the remaining seats.  If you're not doing that, you're not successful, and it's time for you to sell your business.

Your bottom line is the ability to sell memorabilia, and seats in your stadium... and if you're not doing that, then you're letting your business dictate your success....  and in business, you are always the one in charge of your success.

Steve is one of the biggest reasons why our team is such a success, he has built an excellent model on how to please your fans and treat your people right. We have the classiest and best owner in the NFL hands down, salute to Steve!!!!

Disagree entirely.

1. Steve had nothing to do with Cam being fired. By all accounts, he wasn't even consulted about it. I'm not sure why fans keep this myth alive. It should have died right around the same time the old "Harbaugh mutiny" theory was debunked.

2. He's been the majority owner since 2004, and he's seen teams have poor seasons and he did relatively nothing about it mid-season (see 2007). He may have made some significant changes after the season, which would still be a possibility, but I think fans have this incredibly big misconception that because Harbaugh fired Cam Cameron midseason in 2012 that anytime this team is in a rut that somebody is going to make some huge decision midseason in an effort to turn it around.

I don't see it happening, and I'm honestly not sure why fans do either. If things continue the way they are, then its entirely possible a significant change in the offseason or two will occur, but I think fans are just assuming because we literally made ONE  major change midseason in basically the last decade that it means that's always going to happen.

Not to mention those were two completely different scenarios.

Actually they said in americas game, harbaugh had to deal with a mutiny so that i disagree with, but anyway the rest i agree with!!.

The correct answer is .................. NFL coaches live in a world of "what have you done for me lately?". Mr. Bisciotti is a businessman who will not tolerate losing for too much longer. He put Coach Harbaugh on notice after the 8-8 season that things needed to turn around quickly or he would intervene. They turned around a little. We went 10-6 and backed into the playoffs the next year. In business, there's no such thing as the status quo. You're either getting better or you're getting worse. That's it! Our record in the regular season is now 18-17 from 2013 to 2015. We're approaching mediocrity folks and it has nothing to do with being spoiled; it has to do with expectations. But don't believe me; just look at the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization if you want an example to follow. They make good decisions wrt to management all the time. AND, after all, the essence of management boils down to three things: Selection, Evaluation & Delegation

This is easier than putting a man on the moon. Its not rocket science!

Don't think there's any actual hard evidence over this "Bisciotti put the coaching staff on notice after the 8-8 season". Has the classic feel of fans assuming something happened that they wanted to happen but most likely never actually did happen.
