The Good, Bad and Ugly vs Raiders

726 posts in this topic

We scored 33 points on the road and that's with Aiken fumbling the ball on the first series we had .

Our defense let a weak QB light us up with no pass rush , no sacks , poor tackling , moronic penalties (Timmy !) and poor

defensive play calling .

No excuses, just truth.  You're the one always trying to bail the golden child out.  The defense sucked today and I have no problem admitting it.  You on the other hand will find any any excuse or reason to stick up for a poor offense with one of the most inconsistent qbs leading it.  The d was trash but you can't miss that throw for an easy TD.  The Raiders lost numerous starters and not just him, but the o as whole still struggled, even as attrocious as the defense was.

The O didn't struggle. Please. In no universe except your own does a QB rating over 100, rushing yards over 100 and passing yards over 300 plus over 30 pts amount to a struggling offense.

We played good D and bad O last week...

TODAY played good O and Bad D... no pass rush, too many penalties, secondary kinda sketchy..

I need a hug

I can understand what your saying. He threw it before the defender lost smith but it was still to much to the sideline. He had to make that throw

As you say he threw it before knowing he would be wide open. The throw was fine. Smitty didn't even need to drag or toe tap. A half a stride rather than a full one and he's in bounds. Reminiscent of Torrey's gaff last year. Just a very dumb mistake.

The offense didn't struggle. I don't know if that's much indication because Oakland's D is pretty weak, but it defintely didn't struggle.

Was anyone even playing defense today? It was horrific and though Flacco missed that one throw, he's probably the least of our issues right now. Now we have to win against Cincy and at Pitt to even be 2-2. And God knows which Ravens team will show up against the Bengals. It's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with the D and O taking alternate weeks of being fantastic and horrific.

Lord knows I'm no Flacco apologist, and that miss to Steve Smith was brutal. But that didn't lose us the game...it just prevented OT, where I'm not convinced we would've won anyway.

The defense can't give up 37 to guys like Derek Carr. What are Ben and Rivers going to do? Hell, what's Dalton going to do?

Yep , and we scored 33 even though Aiken fumbled on the first series .

This team is just a mess. I'm done with this carp. See you all next week when we're 0-3. The Bengals own us and I don't see it changing anytime freaking soon. Good night

Is it fishing season already? I'm sure you'll have better luck next time.

Derek Carr isn't that bad. I agree they shouldn't have scored 37 points but it's not like he's Tim Tebow or something.

The offense put up 33, but I'm really worried about the running game. That secondary will probably be by far the worst we face

I for 1 am quite happy, heads need to roll. This will definitely shake things up. Crabtree 111 yards 1 td. Harbaugh should put himself in his dog house. Should have hired the young gun OC from denver...but coach wanted another yes man.

I guarantee you the Raiders don't come close to this offensive output for the rest of the season.

lol wouldn't surprise me if something like this has actually been posted seriously

There were one or two genuine posters here that I may have based that rant off. ;)

Now that's how you keep it real!

No let's keep it real:

TD there would have definitely helped but in the end - all the D had to do was hold. Besides, they gave up a TD anyway didn't they? So at best it would have given us a tie.

Defense was pure unadulterated garbage today. Period. Offense did their job.

you must be joking..he could have floated it anywhere but where it would have been a stretch. HE WAS completely open..

sorry but you are incorrect.

I'd have to agree. Yes, Smith Sr. could've dragged the other foot; but it would've had to be a miraculous effort as most of his focus was on having to reach out and corral the throw. He was wide open on the play.

The question is, who replaces Peas?

Can Suggs act as our DC while he is injured? Seriously though, looking at our coaching staff I'm not sure who could replace him if we are looking inside the team. Outside?Maybe Colts lose tomorrow and Pagano gets fired Tuesday?

Carr, rookie WR Cooper, Crabtree, and who is their TE even...

These are the superstars who lit up this defense for 37.

Yeah I agree with you on this .

This game tells me that Peyton is close to finished with little zip on the ball and timing issues he never use to have .

Our defense is not as good as it looked in Denver

The Good: No major injuries;  Win was well within reach.

The Bad: defense gave up 37 points; offense missed games saving/winning opportunities; bad penalties; the plane ride home; pregame disrespected of Oakland and lopsided score predictions.
