Mangini Hired As Browns Coach

I'll post a link later, but this apparently broke just a few minutes ago. Personally, I'm ecstatic because the Browns have brought in yet another terrible head coach.

I hope we're right that the Browns will continue to suck. Or, at the very least, be of no competition to the Ravens.

But that's probably just my blinding hatred of the Browns talking. BrownsFan and a few of you know what I'm talking about. lol.

It's like, of all the teams for the Ravens to possibly lose to, a loss to the Browns bothers me more than any other. More than the Steelers, more than the Patriots, more than the Chargers, more than the Bengals, more than the Eagles, more than any other team in the NFL, period.

I would have liked to see Marty return to Cleveland. Oh well, I guess they'll have to suck for a few more years then.

See, I hate the Ravens, but I love the rivalry. If there's no competition, then the rivalry is one sided and it kind of takes the fun out of it. I would like to see the Browns be competitive again.

Blind hatred? This message board? Browns? No way what are you talking about? (Oh yes... HEAVY sarcasm intended. :D)

As far as the hire.. no clue really how to take it. I did hear that he is bringing on Rob Ryan as our new DC and while the Raiders aren't all that their defense at least has been good overall. The Jets QB coach will be our new OC.. eh, I like Chud but he was WAY too predictable this year.

The one thing I *AM* really glad of is this:

"Also that Mangini and former Browns coach Romeo Crennel, fired after the team went 4-12 this season, discussed the possibility of Crennel returning to work with Mangini but decided it best to both go in a different direction."

I couldn't agree with this sentence more; time to move on and do something else in a different place.

It's been confirmed that Rob Ryan is the new defensive coordinator of the Browns.

Ah ****. There goes any chances of things getting easier for Joe Flacco next year against Cleveland; though, there's always the outside chance that Rob might not show the same promise he did when Oakland had the 3rd-ranked defense in 2006?

Unfortunately, I don't see a scenario in which Rex remains in Baltimore. He now remarks nearly every day how much he'd love to be a head coach; the opportunities are going to be there this year, and maybe he becomes the first Ravens coordinator who proves that he wasn't just a benefactor.

LMAO. Isnt that crazy? The Bengals actually gave them an 8 game head start on 3rd place and the Browns still couldnt take it.

I think it depends on how far we go in the playoffs. If we make it to the Superbowl, he wont get an HC job this year simply because I dont think teams are going to wait that long, plus of all the job openings I've only heard his name mentioned with two.

I forgot to ask, what's with the Browns taking all of Belichick's sloppy seconds?

Edit: Cause Belichick really worked out for them the first time around.
