[News] 5 Things To Watch vs. Raiders

12 posts in this topic

Some receiver needs to step up for sure on the down field shots. However, we have another under utilized weapon on the quick passes, Camp. If the Ravens are going to be successful this year, they need WRs like Camp also who can get open and complete a short pass when Joe is under pressure. We will need all of our WR/TE options used if we hope to be an unpredictable and dangerous offensive threat.

This is going to be a very telling game for sure - my biggest concern is Hurst and if he can keep the rush off of Joe. You have all of Ravensnation behind you James - your time is NOW!

Go Ravens!

the fact that Denvers head coach knew our offense inside and out could have a lot to do with why we couldn't run...after all he kinda designed it. He knew the weaknesses of the O line too plus had practiced against the defense all last year. I look for us to bounce back against the Raiders.

do we really need size to hit ddwn field though? We have a 6'6 240lbs WR that can jump. I could imagine a good back should pass or a jump ball in one on one coverage could give the same affect.

If the WR's can't get any separation from single coverage it could again be be a long day for the O. Let's see if there is a change in the O's philosophy to make up for the lack of speed. Hopefully, in the future, they'll have more than one speedster to step up in case of injuries.

well hate to say it, but if he could play well he would be out there. If he does make it i can see him being a decoy on 2nd and short situations. He was performing average against the saints 3rd string defense so i mean i dont know all about waller at this time. I really do think though that kamar will have a big game. We are going to need some screen plays on the left side to take some pressure off james trying to slow down mack every now and then and there corners are really not that good, and there secondary as a whole.

I also want to watch our entire time play UP TEMPO, and with purpose. No dragging butt on the field today. I want to see our conditioning drills paying off.

I also want to watch our Receivers Catch the ball. Watch it into your grasp before yac.

In those last couple of seconds, there were two receivers I really missed. One we have on the roster and one we no longer do. First was Jacoby Jones, the miracle return man. Second was Breshad Perriman, because that's where ultimate speed was needed. Tough loss, though, must say, Raiders earned it. They played really well. On a positive note, I really liked Webb's tackling. He gave me a scare going off for a check after one of them, but boy, did he look scary with the tackles I remember! I'm off to bed upset by a second consecutive loss, but also optimistic that we can win. We didn't look stunning, but we didn't look bad at all.
