One thing is for sure, I hope we find out a lot more about our offense and our plays this week, going forward, so we have an established identity with our new offensive coordinator. We need to take a few more shots downfield. Plus I hope we get off to a quick start offensively. If our defense plays anywhere remotely like last week against one of the NFL's greats (Manning), we'll have plenty of flexibility with our offensive game plan.

We can not be as predictable on offense as we were last week against the Broncos. I hope we utilize some play action passes tomorrow.

My PURPLE-ORACLE is currently in deliberation. An announcement may be forthcoming after this debacle, fringing on the vote sway- or quorum. Stay tuned.

PRAY LIKE A RAVEN !!!

2nd week in a row Ravens are facing former coaches that are now head coaches. Let's see, however subtle or major, right now there are 8 of 32 head coaches with former connections to the Ravens (25% of head coaching positions in NFL) - Rex Ryan (Bills), Marvin Lewis (Bengals), Mike Pettine (Browns), Gary Kubiak (Broncos), Jim Caldwell (Lions), Chuck Pagano (Colts), Jack Del Rio (Raiders) and Ken Whisenhunt (Cardinals). Out of 16 games, the Ravens had/will play almost half of their games against former coaches now head coaches (7 of 16). It is possible to meet 2 others in playoffs. There are at least 6 other former Ravens coaches who became NFL head coaches but no longer do so. Chances are good to become a head coach after spending time as a coach in Ravens organization. The Ravens had former connections with 14 NFL head coaches so far, a pretty high number consider the Ravens are entering just the 20th season.

i just hope we do not go back to being an offense that waits until the middle of the 4th qtr to wake up. if that happens i will put all the blame on harbaugh for not kicking his coaches in the behind in the 1st qtr to right the ship. if the 1st couple of drives stink than that is the time to change things up, not the 4th qtr.

We don't need the offense to win it. It would be enough they don't turn it over to lose it. Defense will take care of business, and score the few points we need.

Joe just needs time to do his job and Forsett and the running backs need holes opened up for them. Everything in my first sentence falls on 1 group and that's the o-line. Games are and always have been won in the trenches and that's just a football fact. Joe struggled last week because the o-line played horrible. If the o-line improves and the defense plays lights out we win period. Just don't sleep on the Raiders...

The squeelers seem to be the only team out the AFC North that can't beat the raiders in LA so let's keep it that way and get that "W" because like I said I saw alot of positives against the broncos whom DO NOT want to see the Ravens later in the season because payback will be in order and ACHIEVED!

Well, we can at least sympathize with the Kansas City fans. Their team's give away to the Broncos was even worse than ours. Denver should be 0-2, but thanks to the fumbling Chiefs and an inept Ravens offense, they are 2-0. If by some unimaginable repeast of last weeks awful performance, the Ravens lose this one too, it is going to be a long season. Before the excuses start, let me say, the loss of Suggs means nothing in this game. If Flacco and the so called offense plays as poorly as it did in Denver, it doesn't matter what the defense does. All the time, money, draft picks, for offense instead of defense and this is what we get? Just unbelievable.

What I'd like to know is why the game between the Ravens and Broncos wasn't played in B-more. Last time they played was in Denver at the beginning of the 2013 season. Scheduling can make or break a teams hope of winning. Is there an unseen hand at work here at NFL headquarters that secretly destroys this teams chances each season? Whats fair is fair and whats not is not. That game should by all rights have been played at M&T Bank. No ifs ands or buts.

Also the robbery each year of our coaching staff by other teams keeps our team in constant flux. How many seasons in a row has Flacco and the rest of the offense had to start over with all new coaching personnel? Try that yourself where you work and see if you start off good each time it happens. I think the Ravens do a magnificent job considering they're always the target of picking off of their staff by other teams. I don't want to make excuses here but lets give these guys a chance to gel before passing judgement on their performance. If I was Joe Flacco I'd have trouble remembering the OC's name let alone his play calls.

skip bayless is calling joe fluko again

Hopefully Suggs is able to go spar with Skip again soon and knock Skip down a few pegs. Nobody can take on Skip as well as Suggs and expose him for the big mouth fool he is. Suggs may not be able to physically play but he can still hands down outwit Skip mentally any day of the week.

Who in the hell is Skip Bayless? He has no more qualification to rate QBs than my lawn guy (reference 1984 draft)

We all know Skip isn't qualified to do squat. Problem is, Skip doesn't know that. The TV executives who pay Skip a nice salary for his lack of expertise don't care because as long as Skip is ranting inflammatory nonsense, Skip gets viewers. Sad, isn't it?

Last thing I heard him say about joe last week was he led a magnificent drive and put the ball right in his tight ends hands and gave his team 2 chances to win it right at the end. I must have missed him calling him fluko. I definitely don't doubt it, he does it all the time and it's really annoying. Most of the time everytime he does it joe makes him look like a fool .
