[News] Who's Playing, Who's Not vs. Raiders

90 posts in this topic

Don't know about the rest of you , but I am sick of hearing and reading about Perriman not being able to play. This guy needs to man up and get his butt into the lineup and earn his pay. If he is the player that they say he is, then he needs to suit up and show us that he is no fluke. We always seem to have one of these players every year that sits on the bench because of some mystery injury. I bet that he can move around real well on a basketball court though.

don't you think he probably wants to get on the feild just as badly as anyone else? He probably would play if it was up to him anyway , fortunately the coaches are smart enough to protect their investment and not rush him back before he's fully healed. Why risk losing him for the whole year instead of just taking our time and sitting him for 3 games so when he comes back he's 100%? I don't even know why I'm tryin to explain this to you people again. Some ppl just have no patience and want everything NOW NOW NOW and if it's not NOW then the guy is a BUST. You realize how y'all sound ?

seemed to me that the "defense" is what gave up 2 14 point leads against the pats in the divisional last year. From what I remember joe single handedly kept us in that game and threw 4 td passes, and should have been 6 had Owen Daniels not dropped 1 off his hands and Torrey had actually kept running and made a play on the ball.

I really thought we were past this stuff and then one week into the season you start hearing the bench joe talk. Unbelievable.

Bravo! Joe throws one pick 6 and can only muster 2 field positions good enough for FGs and fans want to run him outta town. Thee Payton Manning throws a pick 6 and gets field position for 3 FGs......wonder if the Denver fans were as harsh on him, lol.

A 38.2 passer rating is Not elite. It's not good, average, fair or poor. It's pathetic. Blame everyone else on the offense if you want, but jump ball Joe blew the Denver game singlehandedly, just like last year, with two straight ridiculous picks to seal big time losses. Heck, Foles put up 34 and a 115 rating against the best D in the league last week. All Flacco needed to do was hand the stinkin' ball off, and not blow it. Should be able to win, when the D gives up twelve! Take control of this team, Joe. You're the leader, not Marc! ACT LIKE IT!

You do realize Harbaugh runs the team, yes? Which means when he tells Joe to run the plays Marc sends in, thats what he does.

Do you seriously care about his yards? His win-loss record is WAY more important to me. ,

Couldn't agree more. There is a huge percentage of so called fans that live in a fantasy football world driven by meaningless stats. The W is the only one that matters and I'm pretty sure Joe has more of those than most QBs since he came in the league.

had Crockett held onto that ball in the endzone the entire outlook would be completely diffrent and we wouldn't be hearing about any of this. We'd be hearing nothin but how awesome our defense was & how joe is incredible in the clutch. Edited by January J

the RAIDER'S have no choice tomorrow, but to bring the heat on FLACCO.and since our #1 pick PERRIMAN has bad knee's disease, they will key on S.S.3,and can you say safety blitz by CRUSHBOY31 POLLARD all day long.agree?-disagree?

Or SSS holds onto the one that bounced off BOTH hands before that!

Well, if they send Pollard all day long, they'll get beat like a rented mule. That play works once, maybe twice. Then the O uses draws and slants to take advantage of it.

#poescrow, yeah, but we still don't have anyone else to streatch the feild, like TORRY,so I just don't think it would matter.also look's like WELKER'S 40 time has really gone down hill,on second look.we used another first round on a BUST receiver,I don't know how we overlooked a little something, like a guy who has a genetic defect in his knee's,per ORLANDO SENTINAL article.

doesn't sound like you know too much about OSD. Maybe you should do some research before you go around making rash statements.

Why even keep mentioning each week that Perriman is out. We all know that. Mink, you don't have to make it sound like great expectations coming sometime in October or whenever. When he hits the field, surprise us.

Uummm... It's the injury report??? Maybe that's why he's mentioned??? You don't have to read it if it bothers you that much. If Perriman wasn't mentioned, you'd all be thinking that he's playing!

When a guy is 6'6 and has a much smaller defender on him, and nobody can get any separation, the jump ball was absolutely the correct decision.

All Joe had to do was hand the ball off? That's what he did on most of the 1st dwns before the 2 min drill, and all it did was set us up for 2nd and 3rd and long situations. Forsett had one 20 yd run on the last drive, and besides that, he averaged about 2 yds/carry.

You pick out 2 ints Joe threw, but the receiver had a chance on both plays, and you leave out the 4 tds he threw against NE and the game winner that bounced right off SSS's hands. 24 tds and 4ints in the postseason isn't just elite, it's the best in the league by far, and Joe always plays well enough to win in the postseason. Look at some of the last few postseason losses by Brady and Manning. They were awful, and they have much better weapons to throw to than Joe.

#poescrow, all I do know is as long as PERRIMAN doesn't use his knee's too much,he'll be fine.with his OSD disorder. hey I wish him the best, for the RAVEN'S sake,I hope they knew what they were getting, don't have much of a good track record on W.R.

Monroe, what a terrible investment.

It seems to me Monroe is more of a workout warrior and less of a football player. Sorry but that is exactly what I feel. He has a ton of musculature but lacks functional strength or skill.

The bottom line is Joe took accountability for his horrible play last game. But, he needs to really pick up his game this week and carry the Ravens. If not, I don't see us doing too well this game.

one guy who won't be playing,or playing much at all is BRESHAD PERRIMAN,I just read a ORLANDO SENTINEL article that say, basicly we drafted a player who's had knee problem's his whole life,he actually has a GENIC DISEASE in his knee's that's plauged him his whole life, also his father.well OZZIE did it again, picked up another DUD wide reciever, that's why it's taking him so long to get healthy, and why COACH HARB'S is so mad.we have no one to streach the field,so team's will just continue to key on S.S.3. PERRIMAN will be here long enough for a cup of coffee, why OZZIE,WHY!

The rest of the planet read a Baltimore Beatdown article that went a lil something like this...

"Research tells us that that Osgood-Schlatter disease is most prevalent amongst active boys from 12-15 years old. This is due to the rapid bone growth (growth spurts) that they experience during these periods. Essentially what happens is the bone growth exceeds the muscle growth which ends up placing excess traction upon the patellar tendon. This, along with overuse from sports, leads to increased pulling and tension at the tibial tuberosity which results in pain and swelling at that site."

"The pain symptoms associated with Osgood-Schlatter's resolve on their own once the adolescent stops growing and reaches skeletal maturity. Given Perriman's age (nearly 22) and impressive stature (6'3", 210 lbs), I think it's safe to say he doesn't have another growth spurt left in tank."

"It is important to understand that this is NOT a lifelong issue and Perriman's current injury and extended absence from practice is completely unrelated. The ONLY lingering side effect into adulthood is the presence of a more prominent tibial tuberosity."

Good QBs can audible, that's why they're leaders.

Uh, yea, I do care.  And they LOST last week,  apparently, thanks to everyone but Joe.

Hmm, wouldn't call that a wing and a prayer throw. Bottom line is JJ got behind the corner and went deeper than the safety thought Joe could throw, he was wrong. And I'll take Joe's 11 TDs and zero INTs on the way to winning the SB over a season of 400 yrd games. Heck, he even threw for 8 TDs in last years 2 post season games. Besides, if Bmore wasn't a run first O and invested it's drafts, trades, etc. in WRs, Joe would be throwing 400 every game. It's not a matter of him not being able to throw 400 yards, we're just not built that way.

He threw for SIX TD's and two picks that blew the NE game.  Just like the two last week.

On PERRIMAN,if you read further, other people that have this problem carry it on to adulthood, really I pray that's not him,I was so happy we picked him,but based on our luck with wide-out's,it scare's me.I would also point out he didn't miss many games and his father played ten year's,so I understand the other side of it.but there must be a problem because,MRI report's no damage,so why is he out so long? if even HARB'S doesn't know what's taking so long?

I hate to say this but expect to see Perriman listed each week on Who's Playing, Who's Not Vs. (fill in opposing team name here) articles by Ryan Mink.... So frustrating and certainly hoping I'm wrong... But irritating that there is no truth in reporting Perriman's real situation.

He put the team up by 14 points TWICE, the D blew that game. His last drive INT was as much Smiths fault as Joe's.
