Ok folks. Can we make it through 1 article without starting another rehash of the Perriman debate/discussion? It is what it is. Betting 1 big dollar to say the Perriman comments will commence shortly. LOL.

NO, I want Perriman back in this game. In all seriousness though, if people think that Perriman has to play this game in order for us to win then we have a lot of roster retooling left to do.

Ok Purple Snowman, you owe me a dollar. "In all seriousness" doesn't count. I'll put it on your tab.

one guy who won't be playing,or playing much at all is BRESHAD PERRIMAN,I just read a ORLANDO SENTINEL article that say, basicly we drafted a player who's had knee problem's his whole life,he actually has a GENIC DISEASE in his knee's that's plauged him his whole life, also his father.well OZZIE did it again, picked up another DUD wide reciever, that's why it's taking him so long to get healthy, and why COACH HARB'S is so mad.we have no one to streach the field,so team's will just continue to key on S.S.3. PERRIMAN will be here long enough for a cup of coffee, why OZZIE,WHY!

Hurst is going to get dominated on sunday. Mack & Aldon smith will be pissed off going into game 2 after that game 1 blowout by cincy. It's going to get ugly... until the ravens replace him in the 2nd half (which i predict will happen if not sooner). Other than that, i'm excited about jernigan, taliaferro & melvin (possibly) getting back on the field.

I think this game is going to be nasty, with so much on the line for both teams.  I just don't want to see anyone else get injured.

I really hope they will give Hurst some help by putting someone in there to help chip on K. Mack/A. Smith.  I can't stand the thought of Joe getting pummeled again. Just can't!

Agree. #1 priority is to keep Joe protected. That horse collar tackle on Joe could have had a bad outcome, much less the effect of a constant pounding.

I believe the ravens have a couple of options if hurst isn't getting the job done. They could kick one of their guards out to LT, let a guy like urschel play guard and go from there. They could also activate jensen and try him out there w/ TE chip help. Either way, i believe the ravens will pull hurst if his bad play continues.

I wonder if Monroe has more games missed than played since signing the big contract. Even when he plays he's a slightly below average tackle. What a bust free agent LT signing. Bringing Urschel in at guard and sliding KO or Yanda might be the better option than swapping Monroe with Hurst. Hurst must do better this week. It's frustrating that injuries are debilitating the team already. The Ravens depth is poor which is surprising.

Yanda has gone to RT, but I dont know that any of our guards has ever played as an LT. Everyone is focused on how poorly Hurst did last week, but Wagner was as bad if not worse. The line overall (not just Hurst) has to function a lot better than they did last week or blowing it up and shifting things around isn't going to be the answer either.

Last year, we were missing both Wagner and Monroe at the end of the season and filled in respectably with Hurst at LT, pushing Yanda to RT and putting Urschel at RG. Hurst played in 7 games last year and I only remember one game thinking he looked even close to as bad as he did last week (Indy).

I'm choosing to be optimistic in thinking that a week with the 1s and getting these guys together after a pre-season where they were rarely together as a unit will help. I do think it will be a challenge and I think there will be some bad plays, but I think they'll get things more on track and the offense will be, perhaps not great, but respectable.

Congratulations. You read an article from last spring. This has been covered numerous times, and has been stated that his PCL injury has nothing to do with his adolescent condition. I just don't understand why our fanbase is so negative about everything.

Osemele played his entire college career at LT. I'm not saying he'd be awesome as a spot LT but i'm sure he'd be better than hurst. In fact, osemele played one  or two games for the ravens at spot LT duty in the past. He wasn't great but wasn't horrible. He was about average. Hurst is pretty awful. He's just lucky that he played well in the playoffs (mind you versus teams that weren't great at rushing the passer on his side). That gave him some good exposure. If you take the whole season into account, hurst was pretty bad.

My concern w/ hurst is he's slow footed. It's easy for speed rushers to get by him. The raiders have 2 guys w/ pretty good speed not to mention pro bowl/all pro ability which is why i believe he'll be overwhelmed. I'm optimistic w/ ricky wagner getting back to what he did last season. He was really good last season. Hurst, though? he has had multiple bad games. His game vs. the broncos wasn't an anomaly.

When?  Osemele started at RT the first 16 games of his career and has played every single snap since at LG.

Certainly, if we're melting down very specifically on his side, this is a possibility. However, if we have a game like we did last week and the entire line is in meltdown mode, I just don't know that the shifting will accomplish much.

Moving guys around presents its own challenges. It is going to have to be a pretty obvious, singular issue with Hurst for us to make that move. But true - if that is happening, the coaching staff will not be able to sit idly by and watch it happen.

Personally, I'm hoping he hangs in there.

I remember a game where he had to play one of the tackles. I believe it was LT. I might be mistaken, though.

I hope he can hang in there too because the ravens will have this problem at LT again this season. It's imperative that they have a good LT behind monroe. IDK what it is w/ monroe but the injury bug has struck him. I just hope he can come back from that concussion & not incur a lower body injury like he did last season.

If not, the ravens need a contingency plan. That's all i'm trying to outline. Hopefully it doesn't get to that but... we'll see.

An old saying going back to my grandparent's day was "Do not demean anyone if you yourself cannot do better". One game against the NLF's best pass rushers and all the Energizer Bunnies constant pounding of drums while whining and criticizing incessantly and relentlessly looks silly. Average people who thinks they are smarter than the professionals paid to coach/play professional football is cute and amusing. Hindsight is 20/20, easy to be an expert after the facts. Rejecting knowledge and demeaning players without taking the time to understand what entails in a football game is a waste of minds and time. Enjoy the game, encourage players and coaches. Bands of brothers and sisters of football teams are more cohesive through helping/encouraging each other than kicking dirt on each other.

Hurst vs Mack and Aldon won't be much any easier than Miller and Ware were last week. We should obviously win, but it could be another very rough day for the OT's.

That first sentence is great advice.

if the ravens lose this game they should consider benching joe flacco I'm a raven fan but last week he played like he didn't even know what day it was maybe benching him for 1 game might motivate him to play better

Relax Ravens fans. After one week you guys think the sky is falling. The lost, yes. But by 6 points in a close game against one of the finest teams in the NFL in their home field. No team is going to win every game every Sunday. The Ravens will be fine. Joe Flacco was rushed by an awesome pass rush by Denver. There will be fine-tuning needed yes. But this team is famous for adjusting. Go Ravens.

Watching KC vs Denver I realized those two (Ware and Miller) are going to be a nightmare for every oline as long as they are healthy. Monroe or no Monroe, that game plan that did not include draws, slants, hurry up, would not have worked anyway. Kubiak was a great in-game play caller. I need to see that from Trestman. Raiders will try the blitzing at home with crowd noise. Ravens must be prepared. I think having Jernigan back is a huge boost. Jernigan, Davis, Williams will dominate the line of scrimmage.

If you're ravens fan you would never say that because when Joe doesn't get any protection we all know he usually has an off game.. Not to mention our running game wasn't great.. Maybe you should be benched as Ravens fan ..
