Alternate Jerseys

dont get me wrong i love our jerseys but i would love to see Baltimore switch it up every now and again( im so tired of wearing the same jerseys on madden LOL). Thoughts?

Our white and black jerseys are our alternates.  Outside of that, you can't just decide to update your jerseys to something different, there's a massive process that goes on in the offseason to update any team's jerseys.

 

That being said, it will be interesting to see what Nike comes up with when they get around to updating the Ravens jerseys.  I've always been a fan of black with a purple sheen over it (kind of like how Oregon does their dark green jerseys with a light green/yellow sheen), as I think its more representative of what Ravens actually look like.

Me too.  That's why Ravens need to win the AFC, so they can choose which Jersey's to wear during playoff home games...

if im not mistaken you have to wear your default jerseys, no alternates allowed in the playoffs. 

 

and yeah that purple sheen sounds awesome. i have always loved the ravens uni's but i am growing tired of them, i really like the black jersey and white pants look, everything just matches better and we avoid the blackout/leotard look. id like to see us keep the uni's the same but use the black ones with a purple sheen

I like our uniforms. I wish they didn't get rid of the black on the collar though. I love the purple jerseys. I like the alternates with purple pants?

I'd be careful what you wish for with a new design. Just look at that horrible mess Louisville has done with Addidas. Things could be worse. I do like the idea of the purple sheen though, that could be cool.

i understand this fear, but knowing steve bisciotti, there is no way we would be left with some trashy mess like tampa or cleveland or jax has. our changes would likely be more along the lines of miami and minnesota, steve is just too classy and too smart to just hand the reins to nike and say "do what you want". 

 

they have done a great job with a few unis, and a horrible job with others. i would love to see us get a default uni like oregons black with the sheen numbers and feathered shoulderpads, would be a great look for this team and wouldnt be going overboard, keeping it classy, modern, and intimidating. sadly i feel like we are too conservative to change it up, i almost feel like the FO wronlgy thinks of our uni as iconic

I like the Black Jersey. Makes our guys look even more intimidating.

 

Someone know our overall record wearing the Black?  as compared to the Purple.

 

I also love our Raven Emblem. Two Championships.  It will never grow stale.

I am so worried about all the posts I read about our jerseys, I am such an old school guy, I am afraid we will go with some crazy Oregon Ducks or Maryland Terps 'over the top' kind of jersey. I like a normal style 'old school' football jersey. It took me a while to get used to our jerseys when they first came out because I thought the numbers were weird. I actually like our helmet now with the Ravens (head) logo and the two purple accents stripes, but if they want to get a little more modern with a new one, I would be OK with it, because I do not have to wear one on Sunday. I really do not care about the pants, I actually liked the old black pants with the really wide white stripe. No over the top jerseys please!!!

Most teams use "throwback" jerseys as their alternates.  To wear what was out there in 1996 would actually be our alternates.  I'd love to see Baltimore make a purple and black "colts" jersey.  That would be hysterical.  JK!

Madden 16 has the Ravens original jerseys.  I rock those when I play. Lol!

Do people REALLY think there is any intimidation factor at THIS level of profession ?

Even on a subconscious level do you think a QB is fine with us in white but it changes when we wear black?

Yeah, the black jerseys with black pants are cool, but I think the best combo is the white jerseys with black pants. Looks clean and professional. Doesn't matter though.......Just win baby!

I think the old jerseys and logo look kind of "costume ish". Not a fan.

We have this discussion every year on here. I don't think we are changing it up anytime soon. We already had a update in a way. No more black collar. The flywear stuff on the inside collar is gone. Only had it for our Superbowl season. I think the jerseys are great. I do wish we do Purple jersey and black pants more often though. Not saying white pants are lame or stupid.
