Week 2 - Baltimore Ravens at Oakland Raiders

I'm sick to my stomach. I have never felt so low about this team. As long as Webb is on the field as a starter, we will go nowhere. This secondary got a break last week with a ab who can't throw it more than 10 yards, but we got exposed like I knew we would. This secondary is so atrocious and I don't know what can be done about it.

71% completion, 33 points, but clearly the other 29% of the throws are what cost us this game. It wasn't the 485 yards and 37 points we gave up to Dereck Carr.

THIS. Like come on people.

Since I've reached my neg quota, I will just have to state that Trestman is not creative in his approach and the o-line which is mainly intact from last year is underchieving. He's grand poobah of the offense, so ya, it's on his shoulders.

I haven't reached mine... and still... no it doesn't.

OMG... this had nothing to do with Trestmann

the poor clock management throwing an incompletion on 2nd down when you could run the clock on an injured and winded defense

I need to go out and enjoy this fall weather next week against the Bengals. This day was way too nice to feel like I do right now.

Yeah, I might too.

Right.. Flacco has his faults but seriously Defense ... Gosh man, it's the raiders!

I wonder what bull articles are going to be on this website praising the offense and how the defense wasnt that bad.  Should be a good read

Stupidity ensues.......why burn that second time out? That was going to be insurance then maybe you have slightly more room to work the field. Coaching staff does some stupid things too. Not just the players.

We ran into a developing team. Came in with some issues and they surfaced.

Lack of Pass Rush is our problem.  Jernigans penalty didn't help.

Tough loss

Can't blame Flacco.......the Steve Smith throw was thrown before the pick......it was a lob designed for the far side

We are going to have to play better. Cincy is no slouch.

I see an 0-4 start coming. The Bengals will have their way offensively, and the Steelers might beat us by 100. Defense was AWFUL!!!

this is always the story with the ravens. If defense plays well the one game, the o sucks and vice versa. And this year we are facing nfc west. god, we are worse than the browns. At this point, i don't even know what the ravens can do because both games were winnable yet they threw them away in the end. At least they get paid millions while we get crap

Right. Are you saying the defense was no worse than the offense?

Saying that we should have put up at least 50 against a team so depleted and with less talent on defense...not to mention Joe hits a wide-open SSS and we are in overtime. Your thoughts are?

Maybe Melvin will get healthy enough to get back on the field next week, but trust me, it is going to be a tall order to beat the Bengals next week.

NO HE DOESN'T...  that game was on our defense, PERIOD

We had 2 minutes to go with possession of the ball and he's dishing out silly play calls, of course he does. As the offensive coordinator should he not be able to come up with plays to run the clock down?

I'm not saying he's the main reason why we lost because the D were amateurish but the Raiders should never have gotten the ball back with so much time to go.

Yeah seriously, there is nothing positive to say about today's defensive performance. At least the offense was fun to watch.

he is allegedly an offensive guru and doesn't understand simple concepts

OMG... this had nothing to do with Trestmann

Was it his play call on 2d down final drive that stopped the clock saving TO and time for Raiders? Was it his formations and playing calling that didn't utilize TEs in 2d half? The losses aren't all his fault but he's playing a big role. I'd say him Flacco too errant too much and nobody behind SSS are the flaws in the team, not to mention a non-clutch defense....well that's basically the whole team so let me throw Harbaugh in there for no good reason.

I only wish I could ... it is going to be BRUTAL.

That's why I am staying away till game time next Sunday. I spent all week defending the team. Am not going to do it this week, not after the way Ravens played today. I am not going to read comments this week, that's adding salt to the wound of being 0-2. Good thing there are several networks starting new fall seasons, helps take my mind from this game. Take care, see ya Sunday.

It was all the above. Why can't people understand this and stop obsolving Flacco?

People really don't understand. If trestman had got around to running more earlier. To keep their offense off the field. Perhaps we could have curtailed them in a little.

People look at stats well Flacco threw for this and that. It's no different than saints last 2 years constantly throwing for 300+ yards 40+ passes 20 runs. Then find themselves 8-8, 7-9. Because some of those passes either left extra time on the clock or became a turnover. Or scored to fast and put weak D back out there.

I'm pretty mad, my first jersey was Webb, my mom got it for me back when he was good, then the first time I got to wear it he got injured and started going downhill...
