Week 2 - Baltimore Ravens at Oakland Raiders

I'm super pumped for this game. Probably cause I did all my reading homework for the entire week. Then 3 essays due at the end of the week. So nothing but football tomorrow!

I want to see the team this week, come out for our first drive with the no huddle and attack, attack, attack. Pass first and often with going deep at least once or twice. Set the tempo from the get go and wear out their pass rush early. There will be plenty of time to balance out the offense with heavy run plays after the first couple of drives No run, run, pass, punt in this game. Exploit their weakness first.

Two weeks in a row now that I have to wait until later in the day to watch my Ravens. I get up so early on game day because I am so pumped up, I much prefer 1:00pm EST games!

I don't like the later games either. Regardless of the schedule, my biological football clock is set for 1:00. Will have to make do with Red Zone til then, hoping the Bengals and Steelers each take a loss at the 1:00 slot.

Also, the 1:00 games include the Pats/Bills so I am hoping our boy Rex pulls off a beat down on the Pats with Tyrod having another stellar game. The Pats, Bengals and Steelers all losing would be a superb time filler til the Ravens redeem themselves at 4:00.

I am staying in so I am going to listen to the Steelers game on my Sirius radio and watch the Redskins game without the sound on the TV. Hoping the Bengals Steelers and Browns lose today, I hope we win big and stay healthy.

Good plan. Definition of a perfect day for Baltimore football fans.....Part 1, as you say, Ravens dominant in the big win and leave town with no injuries. Part 2, humiliating losses for the Steelers, Bengals and, for sure, the ever hated Pats. Get the nachos ready!

I have to throw in the Colts losing also, because as long as an Irsay owns them, I have to root against them.

Good point. Irsay is the "eternal enemy" here in Baltimore. Edited by salamander

I would love to see the Steelers 0-2 going into a must win vs the Rams next week. I just looked at their schedule and could they have it any more easier then the Ravens. They alternate between home and away games for the first 7 games followed by 3 straight home games before a bye week, then traveling to the West Coast. Both of their West Coast trips come after extra days rest and the trip to Seattle is followed by a late Sunday Night game.

Meanwhile the Ravens have 3 back to back road trips and 2 of them are on the West Coast. Each WC teip is followed by an early game where the Ravens are sure to lose a day of rest/prep. Maybe i'm looking too far into it but it seems like the Ravens have to make too many accommodations with their schedule while the Steelers just show up and play. The good thing is the whole division have tough schedules and the Ravens are built for it. Plus they get 7 of their last 9 at home. But just feeling like the NFL showed the Steelers favoritism makes me hate them even more.

Even at the risk of how many Ravens fans will be crying about the current WR corp, i hope Torrey and Q goes offense against that college secondary the Steelers have.

Somehow I am suspicious that certain NFL darling teams would never have gotten such a logistically difficult schedule as the Ravens got this year. I just hope that the Harbs and FO plan to stay on the west coast pays off. The team had to pay an extra million dollars to try to make up for the toll this travel could take on the team. I am just glad we have an owner willing to shell out a million bucks for this trip to try to reduce the disadvantages of this brutal, west coast heavy schedule.

I see I am not the only one who was geared up for 1pm only to realize the game is not till 4. Nice pool pic. Looking forward to the Ravens bouncing back to a win and then get geared up for Bengals and Steelers. Gonna be a fun 2 weeks. Have a great day y'all.

Get used to it. Only 2 1pm games over the next 5.

If the Pats and Bills is the local 1:00 game that would be pretty sweet.

My guide says the Steelers/SF game is televised locally at 1. Edited by salamander

I am glad I am not the only one that feels that the "darling" teams get the favorable schedules, like having extra days rest and a bye going against a tough matchup. The Ravens seem to get the tough opponents on the shortest days off or before a much needed bye and yet those things do not count in our favor when it comes to strength of schedule.  Drawing Peyton Manning on the road when he is at his healthiest in the first game of the season is a prime example of what I am talking about, because you know the NFL was never going to give us Peyton at home in December. Oh wait, the Steelers play him at Heinz Field on December 20th......imagine that!

Waiting til 4:00 is torture after waiting all year for football to start again. I have been rewatching last week's game to get my "Ravens Fix". At 1:00 I have a hot date with the locally televised Steelers game, along with Red Zone to keep up with the Bengals and Pats/Bills. Been waiting too long for football season to return so I hate this 4:00 time slot.

He played in the Jets 3-4 scheme last year so at least he is familiar with it

before that however he played a 4-3/46 thats what philly ran for over a decade . but I guess the 34 Hybrid Attacking which we run will be a better suit for him the standard 34

I'm stuck with the Redskins and Rams...

Sending my heartfelt sympathies, unless you are a Redskins fan also. I'd much rather see SF hopefully take down the Steelers.

Seems the experts have faith the Ravens offensive line will improve today, Forsett is predicted as one of top 3 players for fantasy games today by Fabiano.

Yeah that is option one. Option two is Skins v Rams.

I think I choose TruTv.
