[News] Elvis Dumervil Sees More Sacks In More Snaps

12 posts in this topic

I just hope the rotation for Dumervil prevents him from wearing down at the end of the season.

This is why it's imperative to get as many starters off the field as possible during blowouts.

Never understood why we kept starters in during blowouts knowing the grind of the season.

That is why many coaches slows down older players during week of practices. The players goes hard during game day and the coaches decides who takes it easy during the week before going hard again on Sunday. Many coaches keep starters in game during blowouts till they are 100% sure a win is secure no matter what, coaches have not forgotten some of the game's best comebacks and does not want to be added to the list.

Frank Reich and the Buffalo Bills might be the reason. Depending on time left in game would probably determine if they stay in and how big the "blowout" is at the time.

At least 2 games come to mind last season were the starters should have been pulled early in the 4th qtr, the Panthers and Bucs.

29-17 Five Tucker FGs,One defense TD and a running TD after a turnover deep in Raider land. 4 Koch punts and Joe sacked once and hit 5 or 6 times. Under 100 yards rushing and under 200 passing. Lots of short stuffed runs to the "stretch left side. Our defense bent mightily but doe

sn't break.

Doom is going to be double team until someone else steps up so don't start blaming him if he can get to the QB. Suggs was getting double teamed 90% of the time. This "adjustment" will be totally on Dan Pees.
