Johnny Unitas!

8 posts in this topic

I have to do this power point presentation on anyone I chose who demonstrates leadership.... So I decided to do Johnny Unitas! (Yes, this is a stupid assignment but hey, at least I get to research Johnny U)

I am having lots of problems with this, you would think that Johnny U would have more sites on the internet that hold valuable information.

The question I am having trouble answering is:

1. What makes this leader a catalyst for change in society? I gave my teacher information about how he impacted the most viewed sport today, and how he has done numerous charitable work to help others

but that apparently that just isnt enough.

Also if you can find any good Unitas pictures that would be great (preferably color)

Thanks for the help Raven Fans!

I am not sure offhand, but you may want to check out Calvert Hall. His son was a Freshaman when I was a senior there, and I would see him from time to time around campus events. If memory serves (now this was close to 20 years ago...so it may not) he was very involved in the schools community. I would contact somone from there...they are always helpful and you should not have a problem finding information.

Can't be a leader at all if no one wants to follow you. So, explore Johnny Unitas the Teammate, The Playmaker, the Field General. I believe he had "lead by example" qualities that made people want to push themselves harder for him. That's a special quality and something that you should be able to expand on. Find some definitions of leadership/types of leaders and identify what other specific qualities he had.

I used to work on the Farm of Gary Quozzo (sp?) when I was a kid. Gary was Johhny U's back up QB for a little while and he loved my Grandfather. It's a shame that I lost touch with him. I could have probably given you all sorts of info.

Good luck!
