[News] Ravens Like Jason Babin's Style, Could Play Sunday

24 posts in this topic

If Harbs feels the vet Babin can get up to speed quick enough to play on Sunday, I'm all for it. Sounds like a good fit. I have read all the "plays like a Raven" hype, now I am just really excited to see Babin play with my own 2 eyes.

Hope this fella is in shape to go on Sunday. Don't need to go out looking for another filler. Nonetheless, glad to have him.

"Obviously, those other guys will step up into expanded roles – if you want to call it that – the guys who’ve been here,” Harbaugh said."         There is no limit on what this team expects of its players especially when they lose a LB with the leadership qualities of TSuggs.   I spoke to one of my friends who is an Eagles fan.  He really liked Babins' work ethic and attitude.  He compared him to LT of the Giants

The more I read about Babin, the more I like what he brings to the team. I was hoping to fill the void with our young talent, but this seems to be a great addition to the defense. Let's go take it out on the Raiders!!!

As long as Babin puts pressure on QBs and protects the edge decently, then all will be good. This is a good signing. We'll see how he plays whether it was a worthwhile signing. Best of luck to Babin.

This Perriman injury is getting frustrating. I know there is nothing that can be done about it, the guy injured his knee point blank and we have to have patience. But I just feel like this is a sign of things to come. I hope not though. But its like, our 1st round pick!!! Has not played a game!!!! This is frustrating!

Therein lies the question.

I wondered about Babin's release. I found this info interesting. "Obviously, it was a surprise," Babin said after his first practice with the Ravens on Wednesday. "I think the coach said they want to win. But then in hindsight ... the general manager talked about building. Who knows what is exactly going on?"

"Babin, 35, produced two sacks and 27 quarterback hurries in 2014, which was his first season of a three-year, $8.275 million contract with the Jets. New York saved $1.5 million against the cap by releasing him." They must have thought highly of him to sign him last year for 3 years.
