That's really what has been missing from our pass rush...secondary coverage.  For the first time in a while, we have ALL the pieces to make it work...if we can stay healthy.

The best part is they will only get better as the season goes on and our Defense has a chance to gel together. This is our warm up game before 3 very hard but winnable games coming up. I can't wait until everyone notices how dominate of a secondary we have and realises that the Seahawks have nothing on the Ravens. Yeah losing Suggs hurts a lot but if any team can overcome the injuries and obstacles its our Ravens.

c'mon now

Jimmy smith and Will hill are elite but the rest? lewis is above average at best. IF we had another lockdown corner i'd consider what you said potentially valid

I had no idea Will Hill was only 25. lets think about this for a second, we could possible have C.J Mosely, J.Smith, B.Williams, C.Davis, T.Jernigan, C.Upshaw, B.Urban(high potential) and Will Hill for at least 5 more years. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT IN BALTIMORE

I'll take two elites and a few above averages with a great pass rush any day

Prino61.... agreed we have a lot of young talent that you listed (Will, Jimmy, Timmy, Courtney, CJ, Urban, BWilliams and CDavis) but I think we can add to that list. TBrooks has a high ceiling also, Elam and ABrown were both very high picks who could still develop and add to that mix. Its too early to tell about ZSmith but that could be another... Yes we could be a top defense for the next 5 years (But at this point that is expected in BMROE). I would love to see us still add another cover CB and another Pass RUsher... in that time span (unless KLM can develop)

The defense played lights out against a potent Bronco offense in Denver. No Touchdowns allowed says it all. If the offense doesn't let them score we win the game. Such a shame to see Flacco/Trestman lay an egg in their first game but the Bronco's defense played very well also. Disappointing outcome.

Hill is a big reason this defense improved as much as it did from last year. Having two solid safeties back there you can count on to make the plays and not whiff the tackles (you know who I'm talking about) Will lead to more sacks and less big plays.

Hill was a big part of why/how our blitzes worked too, dropping into coverage just a second before the ball was snapped, creeping up to the box on some running plays.
