[News] Late For Work 9/16: Relentless Jason Babin 'A Perfect Fit' For Ravens

54 posts in this topic

I don't understand how the Ravens get dumped on with the Denver game, it is as if the Ravens did NOTHING right, and Denver did everything right..... The game I watched was our awesome defense holding Manning to 0 TD's, and a very tight game all the way around...... All I hear and read is "the pick-6 by Talib, ummm, Manning threw one as well that resulted in our defensive TD...... Just smh.......

And love the socks on Charles James !!

By far the biggest national takeaway from that game was the perceived demise of Peyton Manning as a QB in this league.

I've actually really heard nothing nationally bashing the Ravens offense, partially because everybody understands how great their defense is and the fact that a lot of national analysts don't really perceive our offense to be very good to begin with.

Frankly, from a "talking heads" perspective, I thought we came out of the game looking better than Denver did for the most part.

2 thoughts.... 1. Babin will help us. I am still worried about the pass rush and we will need to generate more pressure up the middle (Timmy, Canty, CJ and DSmith) but pressure is key in a passing league! While I think Babin will help, I really hope Timmy and KLM can take their game to the next level- I guess we can throw Upshaw into that same category). 2. If Monroe is not healthy do we move KO to T and Urschel to G????????????

like the babin signing but would like to see what the z man can bring to the table with regular reps each week before babin cut into them.

we need to see more out of aiken and marlon. be more physical and if you see that the defense is going to blitz than adjust your route and help flacco out. te's need to be involved early

Totally expected to take a dive in the polls this week. No reason for panic in 1 game vs an outstanding defense like Denver. However, if we struggle against Oakland, that would be a shocker. No reason a ticked off, frustrated Ravens team can't demolish the Raiders. Need to have distinct improvements on offense and an overall very dominant performance this week.

Wonder why the Jets released him?

They had better players. That doesn't automatically mean he's not good.

Just remember: the Panthers have also released Steve Smith, the Texans cut Vonta Leach, Jacoby Jones and Owen Daniels ;)

Yea but that was their first release. Babin has bounced around from team to team 8 times not including us.

texans

seahawks

chiefs

eagles

titans

eagles

jaguars

jets

Regadless I want him to perform well for us.

I was just reading the "updated" weekly rankings from NFL website analysts in this LFW article........ I understand everything you are saying, and your last sentence I definitely agree with, and is exactly the point I tried to make but just not as successfully as you did..... :)

"Sunday will mark the first time that the #Ravens will play a game without Ray Lewis, Ed Reed or Terrell Suggs on the field since 1998." ~ Luke Jones

That is an amazing fact when you think about it~ Ravens fans have been very fortunate to experience the best that football has to offer!   Onward and upward we go Ravens Nation!

Geez Crusader don't you like anyone lol? Give him a chance for crying out loud.

I said let's see Sunday how he does. He had two sacks in 16 games the last two years. Sorry but I a realist not a dreamer.

Babin holding the guys dreads and tossing it down just shows no class. Hopefully he has matured since then.

I dunno.  I kinda like a player that not only tackles our opponents but then takes their scalps too.  Are we sure he wasn't a former Redskin?  Ha, ha.

We're sure.  That's what the Redksins only wish they were!

Well I guarantee you, with the way we play ball here in Ravenstown he wont feel the need to do something like that. We talk with our pads.

does anyone really think Tomlin would feel sorry for the Ravens? Agree with Hensley, Babin was the best available pass rusher out there.

the question was did he feel better since the ravens and browns lost. He said no, and I don't blame him.

I got you Crusader but I like to dream as well as be a realist. I think the Ravens have a pretty good track record on pick me up players so I'll stay a dreamer for right now. Go Ravens.
