Week 2 Discussion (Other Teams)

Packers should have this wrapped up barring a screw up on defense/STs. But hey...I said that in the waning minutes of the NFCCG too.

Goodness, Antonio Brown is becoming a legend. Seriously. This guy is a stud.

He'd be a favorite of mine if he wasn't a Steeler. Unfair how good he is.

No shame in losing to the Rams (who always give the Seahawks trouble) and the Packers though. 37 to the Raiders...

Nothing wrong with losing to the Packers, but I don't think there's anything wrong with losing to the Broncos either - they're a good team and could well be peaking already. Losing to the Raiders is the worst loss of the four, but I'd put the Rams (with their question marks everywhere except the DL) at #2.

Point is that while both sides are 0-2, neither side needs to hit the panic button yet.

I just have one question, if Romo is indeed done for the year(reports say only about 10 weeks, put him back about Week 12 or 13) but if so. Cowboys also have no Dez Bryant, Eagles have looked horrible, Giants are 0-2 and Redskins are 1-1. Could the Cowboys injuries turn the NFC East into the 2014 NFC South and a team with a non winning record for the second straight season win the division?

Rodgers in the 4th quarter: 9/9, 91 yards, TD.

And he did a fantastic job of bleeding the clock while putting those stats together. I had the feeling he'd put on a masterclass tonight.

Isn't it? IMO Julio hasn't taken the title from him. Guy is a stud.

I think the Giants will get it together. Another team experiencing the razor thin line betwee 0-2 and 2-0.

He really is the best in the business. His mobility was top notch too...makes it obvious that the Packers beat the Seahawks handily in the playoffs if Rodgers wasn't injured.

The Seahawks are now 0-2.... Better call Kam. Me thinks they get desperate and over pay Kam to try to stop this losing streak.

Great, now all I'll hear about this week is how the patriots are the "class of the league"

And guess whose hands that plays right into

Well, they certainly look like it on a football field right now...

I think the Cowboys will still win the NFC East. They are still able to run well and their defense can keep games close. I think they at least manage to win half the games without Romo, and then win the final few with him back.

I'd definitely take the Packers out of any of the 2-0 teams

Based on their resume's so far, I wouldn't.

Winning two road games against two teams that were viewed as quality teams is far more impressive to me than beating the Bears on the road and even beating Seattle at home.

If I go purely based on resume and what I've seen from watching the games, NE looks like the class of the league right now.

Seems like Suh is already causing trouble in Miami, and it's only been 2 games into year one of that 6 year $114M contract he signed. Of course Joe Philbin has denied this, like every other Head Coach would do.

"Suh freelanced at time on Sunday, creating confusion for the defense. By taking matters into his own hands, the Dolphins' $114 million man took a bad situation and made it worse."

When Suh was asked why he hasn't made an impact.....

“I couldn’t tell you,” Suh said, when asked to explain his uninspired play. “At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there.”

Hey at least we aren't the only good team that started 0-2.. Hello Seattle and Philadelphia!

Maybe we should make a playoffs of our own

BAL

SEA

PHI

HOU

CHI

NYG

Perhaps Colts could join us tonight!

I predict that at least two 0-2 teams make the playoffs

I could definitely see that, maybe even three. Four if the Colts lose tonight too (I think they make the playoffs irrespective of their result tonight unless Luck gets injured for the season or something ridiculous like that).

Man, how crazy a season would that be?

Just look at how many qbs are injured already: Romo, Stafford, McCown, Cutler, Geno Smith, and even Brees apparently was dealing with a shoulder problem.

It wouldn't really be crazy for Luck to be injured, nor I think, for his team to make the playoffs without him. I'm not certain that the division has any real challengers.

It's always possible that Luck gets injured (just as it's always possible that Joe or Eli or Russell Wilson get injured), but you can't foresee stuff like that, which was what I meant by ridiculous. The Colts could lose by 50 today and I'd still be prepared to put the farm on them making the playoffs assuming Luck stays healthy or no other unforeseeable team-wracking event takes place.
