Week 2 Discussion (Other Teams)

623 posts in this topic

We waited so long for week one to get here and now it's week two already. We got some very interesting games after a very interesting week one. The entire AFC East is 1-0, making the Patriots trip to Buffalo much more meaningful. The Seahawks can go 0-2, and so could the Colts!

Key Games:

- Patriots @ Bills: Something tells me the Bills could very well go 2-0 and get a head start on the AFC East crown. They get Dareus back, and Brady better be ready, he can call Luck if he needs advice.

- Broncos @ Chiefs: If our receivers weren't cursed, the Broncos could be staring 0-2 in the face after Thursday Night. Instead they will face 2-0 or 1-1 as the Chiefs look to knock off the Broncos and take back the West.

- Cowboys @ Eagles: No Dez Bryant, no Randy Gregory, against an Eagles team who looked decent before Jordan Matthews caught what Gilmore and Steve Smith had and dropped a crucial catch. Can see the Eagles winning this one.

Jets @ Colts: The Jets played the Browns so let's not get too excited for them. Now they do play the Colts this week and well if the Jets upset the Colts at home, Pagano and Grigson could be walking to the unemployment line sooner than we thought.

- Seahawks @ Packers: Is Seattle the most backward team in the NFL? In the Super Bowl, they PASS when they should have RAN with Lynch. Week One, when they PASS when they should have RUN. Green Bay wins here, and unless Green Bay plays Arizona or Dallas, should lock up the number one seed here as Seattle was their biggest threat.

AFC North:

- 49ers @ Steelers: Here's my UPSET OF THE WEEK! Steelers will be favored at home, a west coast team coming to the East, etc. 49ers did surprisingly well after all the doom and gloom in the off-season. Now they face a dreaded Pittsburgh defense that couldn't stop Tom Brady. Even they will make Kapernick look good. Oh look another Super Bowl contender who could go 0-2.

- Chargers @ Bengals: San Diego do us a favor and knock the Bengals back down to earth please. Come Nov 1st, we'll thank you by beating you like we should have last year. Thanks.

- Titans @ Browns: The Colts, Texans and Jags lost meaning the Titans are all alone atop the AFC South. For two weeks, they will be the lone wolf as they will be 2-0 as Mariota carves the Browns up like he did Tampa.

Has it really been since 2013 that the Chiefs haven't thrown a TD pass to a receiver?

Last Chiefs' WR to catch a TD pass was Dwayne Bowe in Week 14 of 2013, a streak heading into tonight that spans 20 regular-season games.

For the AFC North:

Like Pittsburgh to beat SF. Neither defense is very good, and I like Pittsburgh at home and can't see them falling to 0-2.

Like SD in an upset at CIN. Just a gut guess here. Never been impressed by Cincy's home field advantage, and I think their defense isn't as good as people think it is. I think Rivers can throw on them often, and I do think the Chargers secondary is underrated.

Like Cleveland at home over Tennessee. Think there's too much overreaction on both sides, and Cleveland's defense, particularly its pass defense, is significantly better than Tampa's was. Wouldn't surprise me if Mariota throws a couple of interceptions in this game, and I think Cleveland wins a tight, defensive struggle.

I got SF upsetting pittsburgh and I can see the bills beating the pats. Pats are pretty slow starters to the season. Not sure about eagles vs boys.

When you have a great matchup on Thurs night instead of a dud thats a good start for football weekend.

If the Jets get their running game going the could definitely be 0-2. Revis gets 2 picks.

GB/Sea is gonna be one kick butt game.

Also JO its a little harsh calling that last pick a Gillmore drop.

Run game was not working minus the play with possibly the most obvious hold I've ever seen in my entire life.

Gonna be another long night for the Denver offense if that holds true.

Agreed Mathis held that linebacker about as blatantly as possible ,with a no call
