Ravens sign OLB Jason Babin

If so...i will really call into question what the FO is doing.  To sign a guy and have him sit 3 weeks in a row is just plain stupid.  I understand learning schemes and what not, but the guy needs to see some snaps at least.  You cant tell me they couldnt have brought him in against the bengals and just said....rush the qb.  Its not rocket science

You do realize that he's not the only player we have on the team that is "signed" who is a healthy inactive correct?

Not everybody who isn't playing is injured.

Should we just cut him and sign or promote somebody else who ALSO won't be playing on gameday? What are we really arguing about here?

Maybe so. Let him rush until he learns the entire defense. Especially since we have no pass rush. Plus, he could open up so many opportunities for Dumerville.

I agree but I guess Dean Pees  wants more or The Ravens are hoping Zadarius Smith turns it on. Smith did look a little better as a push rusher against The Bengels than he did against The Raiders but our secondary kept making it easier for Dalton get the ball out quicker.

Are the coaching staff minds still suck in the preseason? Coaches been hyping up these players all mini-camp & preseason,

but why are they not playing once the regular season comes around? Seems like the coaches are not confident in what they're doing. Other than Steve Smith, Sr, this team has no confidence whatsoever.

To be honest, this is not Ravens football at all. Ozzie keeps bringing in these "finesse" Offensive & Defensive Coordinators!

I want our "smashmouth" football back! Power running game and tough, aggressive defense! Our team is playing scared and soft! Man i miss Rex Ryan

I came here looking for an explanation of why Babin isn't getting many snaps. Still mystified. If he had 7 snaps and 2 resulted in a Ravens sack, don't understand the hold up in using Babin more. What's the issue?

Everyone is wondering why he hasn't had many snaps. Jared Allen just got traded to Carolina and played Sunday. Not saying he had a huge impact but he was definitely part of the game plan.

Some coaches are different...A team can recently add a player and one coach/coordinator may think it's fine with using that new acquired player in the up incoming game while another coach/coordinator may feel differently. I think in The Ravens case it could be that Dean Pees just wasn't comfortable with Babin knowledge of the playbook which is why Babin was inactive for tow games. I think also The Ravens may wanted to see what Zadarius Smith had as a pass rusher since he is there third rounder.

This is probably the case....just not a good look when Harbaugh brags about how smart and fast he will be ready to play and then three games later he has 7 snaps. They should have just went with Smith in the first place and used that roster spot for a WR back then.

The Ravens still needed depth  at outside linebacker and wide receiver just wasn't considered  a huge need for them at the time since Smith Sr and Campanaro was healthy with the expectations that Perriman would be coming back atleast until  he had a set back.

Disagree...they always needed WR help. Steve Smith and a bunch of no-names.

I think the reality is the coaches like the wide receivers they have but also it's impossible for them to get hands on suppose non no name receiver due to cap space issues. .Honestly The Ravens didn't lose against  The Raiders and Bengels due to their offense but their defense..
