WR Trade

Whats with the obsession of Patterson lately, he's a failed 1st rounder. If you're looking for a reliable target why trade for Patterson?

Don't expect any trades any time soon. We've played 1 game with Flacco running for his life and probably the best CB duo in the league. We didn't get a good look at any of our receivers against the Broncos, Ozzie won't hit the panic button after one game. If you're looking for "reliable" then there are some vets on the market to try out before shelling out a steep price for a decent receiver, they don't just grow on trees ya know. We'll be looking for a LT before receiver and I don't see that happening either. If we make a trade it'll be for a vet, young receivers carry too steep a price.

I'd like to bring back Thompson but isn't he hurt?

He supposedly was released by The Bills on a injury settlement so he might be healthy now. Since The Ravens already have Jeremy Ross whom's a fast guy  like Thompson but more proven as kick/punt returner it probably doesn't make sense for The Ravens to have interest in Thompson. If The Ravens actually feel like they need a fast guy out there then they could just simply promote Jeremy Ross to the active roster.

but jeremey ross and deonte speed are two different worlds. 4.23 vs 4.44 Campanaros 40 and Ross 40 are identical. Deonte is a Perriman clone on paper minus 3"... when he was a raven he returned 2 kickoffs for TDs last year in the pre season alone one being 108 yards. I like him a lot and always have.

We did play potentially the best CB duo and pass rush in the league.

And it was week 1 with a new coordinator. Against a preseason favorite.

And we almost won.

But the SKY IS FALLING!

This. for the love of god. Its like people cant comprehend us facing a great defense and struggling...shocker right? I was actually impressed with the game in certain aspects but to others: Joe is a fluke, trade for a wr, we are missing the playoffs. This is just comedy for me now

boy i really wish we didn't play the broncos as a season opener.

last team i wanted to see.

if we lose vs oakland we are in deep trouble.. this isn't a division that you can afford to go 0-2.

if we lose and lose vs the bengals i hate to say it but the season is over..thats how harsh it is.

Not really, but it would suck to start 0-3.

O-line is the sticking point atm, we need to see some urgency from them this Sunday.

i did predict us being .500 going into the bye and doing a late season run for the playoffs, so 0-3 isnt far off. although that would be a tough hole to crawl out of.

If the O-line gets up to speed I say 5-3 into the bye; win @ OAK, split with CIN & PIT, win vs. CLE + @ SF, split with ARI & SD. Our defense shut down a talented Broncos offense, and should continue to improve even without Suggs.

People always do this. "Let's trade Kamar Aiken,Marlon Brown, and Asa Jackson for Dez Bryant"

VERY rarely are player for player trades made during the season.

We got Monroe during the season, but we traded away draft picks to a rebuilding team who was trying to stockpile a bunch of them.

There's nobody out there who is going to give away a player that can help them right now..plus it's week 2 and nobody is out of contention.

Trade isn't happening.

The Ravens just have to wait on Perriman to be able to play and hope that the offense gets better by the end of the season.

Maybe a trade with the Bucs for Jackson down the road. About the only thing remotely plausable. But the chances are very slim.

As well as panic. The Ravens tend to be a much more competitive team near the end of the season. I really feel like Harbs and his coaching staff deserve at least this much trust and confidence from the fanbase after making the playoffs so many times and winning a SB during a season, when things went wrong and the Ravens had a couple bad games also.

We've been through this before people...like A BUNCH OF TIMES. This is nothing new. REALLY.

Funny just a few weeks ago we had exess at receiver and we could trade our guys to another team. Wonder what happened to that? Lol.

Basically a Pass Rush that rattled Flacco.  The few times he had time, his demeanor was, "I'm about to be killed".  We are going to need to keep a tight end in and a big back to help on the other side. Maybe we did already, have had no stomach to rewatch the recording.

unless patterson cost a 5th rounder orso , there is no way ozzie will consider trading for him

yup.

broncos had #1 rush defense.

2 top notch pass rushers and 2 top notch CBs and some very good LBers.

i seriously wonder what people where expecting with a new OC in an away game at a crazy altitude , with a not 100% RT, a back up LT, top TE out, 1st round WR out , back up RB out enz.

i was not expecting a shootout so no reason to panick at all.

ill start panicking if we get shut out by the raiders though

I saw a Ravens fan say after watching Ravens passing  plays on all-22 the wide receiver were getting open especially the second and third options but  Joe Flacco j never looked their way due to pressure. He even mention that Marlon Brown was getting open quite a bit but Flacco  kept constantly looking towards his first option and to his check downs due to pressure from The Denver Broncos defense.

I personally don't think The Ravens need to trade for a wide receiver at all but indeed have to make sure Flacco is well protected atleast comfortable in the pocket so he can get the ball off to his receivers.

That was never the case. This board always overhypes the mediocre WR talent on this team. From Doss to Streeter to Brown and now it's Camp. There's always a superstar waiting, except when there never is.

Doss had talent, he just couldn't get the mental game down.

Streeter was just a big fast guy.

Brown has produced as a UDFA and a No.2 Wideout.

It would get everyone to stop complaining

Wouldn't even accomplish that...

You'd have to trade for a returner, a pass rusher, somebody to replace Webb, and a new LT. Then, for about five days, people would stop complaining.

Edit, according to Sami, we need a new RT as well.

if wagner has fallen off thats a big problem

the more i think of it if we were to make trades it would be for

a RT

or another CB as i think webb is DONE.

So literally one week and we are throwing in the towel on Rick Wagner?

If the OL starts improving and giving Joe more time in the pocket and Forsett bigger holes to run through, the offense should be fine. That will give Perriman enough time to heal up and join with the team. Do I think he will have an amazing OBJ-type season. No, atleast I'd be very surprised. But, it will give Joe that speedstar, whose speed defenses will have to respect.

Trestman and Joe will have work on their chemistry, but Flacco has been here before (ALOT) so I feel like the solution to many of the offensive woes are really a matter of time and getting healthy.

This is the part were we are greatfull, that Flacco has his elite durability. Even if I won't enjoy, see it getting tested this season.

Hey all, please make your points without bashing our members/fans. Ours are certainly no worse than those of other teams and there is no need for disparaging remarks.

Well he can't have another game like that..that was putrid..

The O line is key..without it..its 2013 again with close losses.
