Cowboys are looking at Hakeem Nicks with Dez injury. Why oh why are the Ravens sitting on their collective hands doing nothing to go grab a Hakeem Nicks, previously James Jones, or look for a trade.. Pick up a vet WR our WRs are awful outside Smith

I think we actually have players that can hold it down. NO REPLACE but definitely make some plays. Guess we have no choice but watch it unfold.

Agreed, From what i remember of NICKS, he was pretty dam good. Yes his numbers have declined mostly because of injuries but the guy is a play maker.

anyone else sick of how bad the RAVENS are at drafting WRs. Some of it is just bad luck but its a pattern. Lets get someone thats a vet, that way we have an idea of what we are getting. Its disgusting how they let BOLDIN go and he wasnt even owed that much on his salary. We have to pay alot of our cap to guys that arnt even here and the other amount is going to WEBB ( dont even get me started)

Trade a draft pick to the Dolphins for Jared Odrick.... Or with Urschel on board does that make KO trade bait (we probably will not beable to sign both him and Yanda at the end of the year and if we don't we just lose him) but if we trade him now... Urschel can step in and play at a high level and we solve 2 problems. 1. Freeing up money next year to sign Yanda and 2. bringing in a quality pass rusher? I love KO but this may be a real option that helps the team now and next year!

Ugh...

1. Odrick plays for the Jags, not the Dolphins.

2. There's a ZERO percent chance the Jags would trade him (they'd have no incentive to do so). They just signed him a huge contract that we can't afford to take on anyway.

3. Trading quality Oline depth is virtually never a good idea. Pretty sure not having great depth was a factor in how poorly our Oline played on Sunday. Sounds great and all until Urschel becomes the starter and gets hurt (entirely possible).

Freeney is 35 yrs. old. And no one is rushing to sign him. Let's not get carried away with name recognition. In pro sports it's "what can you do for me now, not what you've done in the past."

jacket...

You are right.... Odrick is with the Jags... but we have a history of picking up Jags and working with JAX (Forsett, Monroe, DSmith, etc) bc they are building for the future not now! SO that is their incentive.

2. We do have OL depth... Urscel can step right in and play just like he did last year for KO! and we still have Jensen who can play G or C....

3. We are in all likely hood going to lose KO bc we cannot keep both him and Yanda... Jax would love to have a dominant G to lead the way for TJ Yeldon and protect Blake Bortles (their future). We need a quality pass rusher. We can solve the problem of losing KO for nothing at the end of the year... by addressing our need now... we have the depth... the need and another team who would gain as much as they are giving!

I don't want to see KO go either but I would rather us get something for him / rather then lose him and how for a comp draft pick! (which we would get) this would be a clear upgrade and we are not only in a position to do it but the timing may be right!

Didn't Crockett play that position in college? I'm not suggesting anything crazy but I thought I remembered that for some reason. I would rather see them bring in Randy Moss for a workout while Perriman is recovering. Even if he wasn't himself he would still make other defenses freak out and game plan for him. Plus he could mentor Perriman and our qb and locker room is strong enough to handel him.

what would Randy Moss teach him? How to be lazy and take plays off? SSS is a good enough mentor... Trying to sign Randy Moss of old and end up with Little Randy from the Directv commerical

Cool, but you still didn't explain how the Jags benefit for that deal or provide any sort of reason why Jacksonville would trade a player one game into a monster contract.

Trading a high quality pass rusher in their prime for a guard, regardless of who the guard is, isn't realistic. And regardless, again, Odrick has a contract we can't afford.

Its a pipedream. No point in discussing it further. If we were going to trade for a pass rusher, it would be a mid-tier pass rusher and it would almost certainly be for draft picks. These quality player for quality player type trades are rare in the NFL, and there's no reason to expect we would be involved in one.

I will admit I have criticized Ozzie a bit, and will never forgive letting go of Anquan Boldin. But I do believe he will come through for us as he always has in the past. So I hate seeing that happen to T Sizzle but I'm not worried. We will be just fine, we always have a Ram in the Bush, just wait , you will see. I'm expecting great things for our Team this season. GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!

I think if Freeny still had his old skills and ability, he would have been snatched up a long time ago. I think I would trust an old retired Offensive Tackle before I would trust an old Retired Pass Rusher. With that said, let's just leave the Retired to enjoy their retirement.

You drafted him to be a pass rusher. He should be the one you put in there. Until he shows he can't why bring in another guy? The ravens are always deep at LB talent. Practically a factory for the rest of the league. They don't need someone that couldn't cut it on another team.

I agree that we provide stars for other teams because of our cap,but you never know picki :help: ng up a true edge rusher can't hurt.

This is the perfect opportunity for Courtney Upshaw. I believe this is his contract year. He was drafted out of Alabama as that force at outside linebacker. Terrance Cody failed to live up to that crimson tide defense legacy but C.J. Mosely without question lived up to it. Now it's Upshaw's time.
