I come in to this season like every other wide-eye and starry for Ravens football and then boom reality hits The team looks like they never played ball together. The Ravens gave them the game. They didn't win it. Flacco alone threw two really stupid passes and that is all it took. Peyton Manning couldn't hit anyone beyoned 8 yards, yet, time after time we were rushing 3 guys and even with 8 covering, the receiver was wide open. Instead of getting after Manning, the scheme gave him time to pick his target, and, unlike Joe, who stares the receiver down, Manning is still a smart guy and will look around. The Ravens played an ugly, inept game offensively and the defense didn't pressure the Broncos, especially on the last drive of the day when Manning held the ball for 11 4th quarter minutes.

Jeez, this is only the first game, and considering most "professional whatevers" were picking the Ravens to be wiped off the field against Peyton Manning and crew, I think overall this was a great defensive, and very good game, and I am NOT an optimist........ To hold Manning and the Broncos to 0 offensive TDs is incredible to me, and sure, we could have pulled out a victory at the end in true Raven's fashion, but just didn't work out for us, this game although it was a loss, actually gave me a lot of OPTIMISM going forward, Denver is one of the toughest teams we will face this season, but just my opinion.....

The Trestman offense looked like the ones before Kubiak. Joe had no time and no plays to exploit the balls out rush. Pitiful offense and no way out with current OC. Long season even though defense looked mnuch improved. Good bye T- sizzle. Innovation GONE!

 

Kubiak had his games like this one last season.  Ironically, when we went back to Houston, I think we looked even worse.
