[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Broncos

I love how everyone is brushing away Suggs injury like it's no big deal and wish I had your positive spin. It's true that Suggs is on the decline but he's declining from the best Defensive Player in the NFL not too long ago. He's the best edge setter, screen disturber, on this team. He's smart, reeeeeal smart on the football field. Makes everyone around him. You guys forget that he had double digit sacks while attracting most of the double teams. Thus doom blossomed. We lost a guy that every opponent had to game plan against or he'd just wreck the game. He's still a top 10 guy in this league and would start on 31 other teams.

The D looked beautiful last night. I loved it. But loosing Suggs was a huge blow. We even felt his loss in the 4th quarter......

I just hope we haven't seen the last of him. This injury sucks! It's a year till he can play again and another year till he's 100 percent. Even if he starts week 1 he'll only have 70-80 percent of his quickness. I'm glad this unit is deep and talented all across but I'm bummed.

You are absolutely right about his importance to this team and in no way shape or form am I saying he can be replaced, I am just saying that the defense will still be great without him, as it has been seen the year we won the last superbowl, the defense without him carried us to the superbowl in the playoffs. But as far as his game IQ and his presence on the field, it wont be the same.
