[News] Terrell Suggs Suffers Torn Achilles, Done For Season

64 posts in this topic

Positive Spin: If we can stay in contention until Urban comes back, we will have a decent pass rush down the stretch. We can use some Za'Darius Smith on obvious passing downs (since he is terrible vs the run), and possibly sign a veteran FA such as Freeney or Babin.

3 NOTATIONS:

1. we WERE in the perfect scenario to win the game, however...

2. OUCH !

3. time to fill in for Sizzle and grow quick !

Worst way to start a season.. it would be nice to see him make a R. Lewis type comback.. bring some motivation and inspiration towards the end of the season.. ... I guess this is out of the question just saw a mods posting on why it's season ending.. used ir-dtr..

Let's go Upshaw.. time to shine..

I'm guessing all those pundits who we're picking Ravens will start doubting..

I just hope Terrell's fellow vets step up and fill the huge heart and soul void left by his leadership. It's not just next man up on the field but we also need other defensive leaders to step up in the locker room, in every practice, etc to continue leading and building this dominant defense. As a team, outstanding defensive performance today. Terrell best wishes in recovery and hopefully return to us next year.

Sorry to hear about T-Sizzle, I hope he will get better. Time for our fourth round guy, Za'Darius Smith to step up. Go Ravens!

We lost Suggs and Lewis 2012... Remember???  The year we won the Superbowl.  Our season is FAR from over....  It's just hard losing an established leader.

That is a good point. I could say Doom on the front and Jimmy on the back end ... but in the not too distant future, I see that being Mosely. That guy is the total package ... athletic and he plays very smart.

I still don't want to write Suggs' obit now. Done for the season - I don't want to say he's done for his career. We'll let him make that decision in the off season.

Just hoping Sugg's defensive vet teammates realize the magnitude of the leadership shoes they need to fill. Whether it be 1 or several, some strong leadership needs to emerge to continue the progression of what could be an extremely dominant defense. Although Mosley is only in his second year, I think he has natural leadership qualities and could be a real positive force to contribute to those vets who need to carry the torch.
