[News] Game Recap: Broncos 19, Ravens 13

108 posts in this topic

Shouldnt it be worth noting that in 31 other stadiums our defense would have come up with a stop instead of giving up 57 & 56 yd field goals? Those two drives and 6 points are the difference maker in the game. Defense looks good and offense looks new.

I think SSS should quit flapping his jaws and concentrate on catching passes that hit him in his hands. Also, the Ravens need to find a way to neutralize a strong pass rush. Good coaches and QB's find a way. I'll leave it at that.

thank you. It still amazes me how flacco has one bad game (against a top tier defense, and with no protection mind you) and ppl are already starting to trash him again. I thought we were past this. Anyway, I'm thrilled about our defense, even with the loss of sizzle. We just shut down a hall of fame qb and allowed 0 offensive Tds. The loss hurts, but once we get perriman and tali back we are gonna start rollin. We lost to a very good team yesterday, and we very well could have easily snuck outta there with a win.

And folks were predicting that Denver would blow us out.....  I was impressed with our Defense.  And we knew that they had a stout Defense.  We also know they have one of the best pass-rushes in the league...  So, I'm with you January.....  I'm not ashamed of that game at all....  We were in it right up and until the end...  even with a shut-down offense.

Both defenses played great, and all it took was a mistake on the offense to win or lose the game, in this case we lost due to a mistake on offense....I honestly thought we did so much better than i thought we would, coming out of camp, i didn't feel we were ready....

Manning: zero TD's. I doubt any other defense this year will be able to do that. yes it was a loss but the questions about our secondary have been answered. And I LOVE the answer. The ravens just played the best defense they see all year and were a dropped pass from winning that game. Nothing to be down about. I give the Denver the credit it deserves. Anyone that thinks that Oakland will do what denver did is delusional. If the team keeps playing like it did yesterday the ravens are playoff bound.

Watched every play. Had it in the bag until that unforgivable pick 6. All I heard about is how good our line is and how deep we are at WR. Now it's the line can't block and receivers can't get open... smh.

Monroe has the right right work ethic and mind set, but he has been made of glass since he has been with us, Oz needs to sign a vet LT for the rest of the season, and that will need to be a priority in the draft, or get KO signed, kick him to LT, and move Urschel inside at LG...JMO....

Well, now that the Ravens vaunted offense stunk out the stadium, does anyone still think that their 1-3 preseason record wasn't really them? The offensive line was awful the entire first half, and Flacco was awful in the second half. They should have rolled over Denver. Peyton Manning couldn't move and he couldn't hit anything longer than about 8 yards. Why the Ravens didn't get after him was mind boggling. They rush 3 men and still can't cover. Webb is a joke. It is a shame, but it is time for the Ravens to realize he is done.

Fastynart, I think you need to take a deep breath,or a chill pill, or Something. You've been incredibly negative in your last couple of posts. First you call Ozzie a moron and an insane man just because you disagreed with his 1st rd draft choice. And now, this post. I wish I could think of something to say to you to maybe make you relax and feel a little better about our team. I would suggest to you that you remember that the regular season is 16 games long and we've only played One of them. There's been a lot of teams that have lost their first game and went on to have successful seasons. I don't know if we will be one of those teams, but it is possible. You know, almost all the talking heads picked Denver to win this game and they did, but it was by a hair's breath. No, we didn't play well. But, despite that, if SSS finds a way to hang on to that pass in the end zone late in the game, we'd have come out winners. Just give the team a little more time before you give up on them, ok? We are all fellow Raven fans and we all want us to be successful, so maybe you could jump on board and be a bit more hopeful. I hope so.

I don't think being careless with the ball is being productive. Throwing the ball in blind faith is begging for trouble and lobbing the ball up in the endzone when Gilmore was double covered isn't smart either, throw the ball away that's smart!!!!!!!!!!! That's what elite QB do.

The Cowboys pull a rabbit out of the hat and we get a offensive shaft topped with a Suggs season ender.  Got to make our team real in Oakland

Yes, Cowboys got lucky. Eli Manning took complete blame away from his teammates for not taking more time off the clock which is commendable but Giants defense allowed back to back touchdowns after pretty much controlling the game. I believe the Ravens will get real in Oakland and come back and beat Bengals next two weeks.

%u201CWe have a lot to work on, obviously. That was a pretty poor showing.%u201D %u2013 Joe Flacco. Yeah Joe by our QB and our Tackles they gave the pressure to much.

If you get rid of Joe Flacco who would you get that's any better? How long have teams like the Browns and the redskins been looking for a QB? What kind of record do those teams have?

Agreed.   Schawb would not be the best next up as well.  Just for karma, Trestmen should have Schawb perform a few special plays in his old Raiders home in Oakland Ca.

no receivers!! could be a long season.

No Open recievers....... Denver has a QB who can only throw passes into the flat and they can succeed. Manning can't throw long like Joe but Mannings completion rate increases in 10-30 yard range.

We had time.....Common sense. Also, why did we not have another reciever near Gilmore for extra hands if its a tip drill.  Why didn't we design a play to the end zone back line where Gilmore could have reached for it ??
