The good, bad and ugly vs Broncos

Good game and hell of a defense.

I'm very excited for our D this year. But the game went about as much as I expected. There's a lot we have to figure out on offense if we want to contend. Very good game Baltimore. Don't want to see you again in January..

That bruton guy got away with a peanlty. BASICALLY THE GAME.

Besides that, we need another guy other then Aiken as our #2. He will do absolutely nothing as #2.

I saw max do a bit of something, steve trying to do something, gilmore. Missed catch or no, they were there to make the play. Aiken was a complete ghost. He looked like a PS player out there. Someone need to take over that #2 spot FAST

Also, I noted this in the game thread, but Suggs injury looked and he reacted as if he did something again to his Achilles.

Typically, a person feels that they can walk when it happens and the ankle just flexes back and forth. Watching him stop and have them call for the cart was def. not a good sign and made me think it was his Achilles even more.

To whoever I argued with before the game about how Manning looks this year, I will eat that crow now.

If we had any sort of offense today, we would have won that game. Dear lord does he look like he has lost it. Not only did he throw into double coverage when a guy was wide open for a TD, but his passes were just overall bad. There's no way that Osweiler could have done worse than him, in that game.

That was just ugly

That would be me

Denver might be the toughest game we have all year. We hung in there and had a chance to win. I'm disappointed to take a loss, but I'm not all ticked off. The o-line will get better.

How is that not PI on the last play?

Nope. At most it was face guarding. Both men were in the air and defense did not gain advantage. While competing for the ball it was merely incidental contact. The best question is was the pass intentionally underthrown?

Tallb post game: "On the 2 INTs, they ran plays we saw in preseason"

First INT: Talib read the route, stepped in front of SSS, bumped him right before Joe threw the pass, knocking Steve off stride, allowing Talib to catch the pick six. Should have been flagged for illegal contact as the bump happened further than 5 yards downfield.

Second INT: the linebacker faceguarded Crockett, running into him without looking back for the ball. Should have been PI.

2 crucial no-calls = 2 crucial turnovers.

Also SSS needs to catch that TD pass.

Flacco had no reliable recievers today, and even worse pass protection.

Nobody on offense other than Joe and the RBs showed up today, squandering an impresssive defensive performance.

Finally. ENOUGH WITH THESE INJURIES!!!

  1. we the D played hard,

close game,

great D effort,

offense needs to stay awake throughout the game,

have to include the WR in the game plan next time.

Buck looks good

hill was flying everywhere.

its officially RAIDERS week, take it out on them.

Denver has an amazing defense. Why is it on this board that if we play a good defense or someone on the other team plays better, it turns to well that must mean our guys are horrible. Give credit where credit is due, you try to play OL and stop Ware and Miller from getting to Flacco. Also the O-line got better once the game got going, we need to work on getting off to a fast start.

I agree with you JO.  Denver's D played a great game.  Its not like when Jax snuck up on us a few years back.  This D was poised to be great with that D-line and corners.  Got to get our line healthy, but you have to give credit where its due.

I would place the blame on pretty much the entire offense. WR's weren't getting any sort of separation, TE's under preformed and the OL disappointed.

The Good news is that we won't have to play a defense this stout for quiet a while. I gatta give credit to Denver, they have some great defenders.

Bad ... our offensive front was getting man handled early. They pulled it together a bit, but still everything was a struggle. Anything we got we got by the skin of our teeth.

Same old Ravens.  Ugh.  I'm angry so I'll refrain from posting any more 'till I've had a night to cool off.

If it's the same old Ravens that gets us deep in the playoffs and potentially a SB ring, I'll take it.

I somewhat agree; however, since I was expecting a spanking (31-17) the fact we had a chance to win there at the end made the loss  a little rougher than I'd expected.

Very true but also I'm not too worried about this loss when it comes to seeding. The Chiefs and Chargers are going to be our concern when it comes to the top 4 seeds. Now if we don't win the division and are battling for the Wild Card, this loss may come back to haunt us.

Face guarding is PI

24/40, 175 yards... Same thing goes for Peyton, and other QBs facing our defense.

You're right!

Peyton isn't going to win a lot of games this year.

The ugly ... well, I don't know. I think more than anything, I'm a bit disappointed with SSS today. He knows where Joe's going with that throw and can't let Talib work him over and get inside of him like that. Better to just tackle the dude if he's got position. Then, he had the ultimate chance at redemption and let it slip through his fingers. Tough play to make, but we count on him as our tough guy. He didn't show me that xxxx and vinegar that we needed from him today.
