I believe the only time the Redskins beat the Ravens in the regular season was 2012 during RG3's rookie year. I still remember the fumble that was overturned on the Skins final drive.  What happens during the preseason doesn't matter.  Yes last years game vs. Tennessee was a tough one as was Jacksonville which came down to the wire.

If Niles Paul had recovered that after it went out of bounds as it was initially ruled, before being overturned, the Ravens would have won that game and RG3s injury probably never would have happened.  Could have changed his career......not.

I vividly remember Tony Banks throwing a late INT in the endzone that costed the Ravens a game against the Redskins in the 2000 season but could be wrong.

Waller and Melvin are questionable. What happened to that "minor common soft tissue" injury Melvin had? Wallers injury surprises me too. We need both of them.

If Sunday is an indication, the Ravens are fine without Melvin and Waller has issues with his release off the line of scrimmage and is still raw, so throwing him against starting NFL corners may not be the best idea.

I'd be more concerned about Monroe if I were you

I will not be surprised if Waller actually placed on i.r and The Ravens promote Jeremy Ross or add some other player to the 53 man roster.

Wouldn't surprise me but I wouldn't like it. He needs the practice time more then just weight training and classroom work. I'd love to see him remain on the 53 and practicing against Jimmy Smith every day in practice. Don't mind him on ST although i'm not sure that continues.

I do think Jeremy Ross has a place on this roster once he's familair enough in the offense. I think he takes over your full time Returner position and also gets some quality reps at WR. He provides more quickness and athleticism then a guy like Aiken and could actually take reps away from the least productive of Aiken or Brown.

If the Ravens see any potential in Waller, placing him on IR, unless actually necessary, would be a horrible move.  Players can't practice when on IR and thus, can't develop.  The team currently had 5 RBs including Juice that are healthy.  Last week we had 4 and one of them saw no playing time so putting Waller on IR to bring up Ross when they could simply move Magee to the practice squad.

Fans always talking about wanting to develop a WR but apparently don't want to give one a chance unless he's a 1st rounder...

We don't need either one of them this week. The talent on this raiders team is very very poor across the board. The only thing that would be nice would be for Them to get fourth quarter reps with the game well in hand. This could go down like the Bucs game last year.

Not sure I'm counting on that, but it would be nice!

I'm not really sure if placing a player on i.r absolutely hinders a players growth 100 percent of the time or atleast means the player can't be something the next year. Victor Cruz was placed on i.r during his rookie season and bust out on the  scenes in his second season.

A player development  doesn't just include practicing but it also includes studying the playbook, watching film, and absorbing information in which his position coach is giving him.

If Joe throws for 5 first half TDs Sunday I'm letting you build the investment portfolio for my next 3 clients. Lol

I will preface my statement by saying that I know that we are playing a professional team, and that I am aware that anybody can win or lose on any given Sunday. With that said....

We SHOULD win this game handily. Their safeties are hoblled Hayden is looking like a bust and they have no real reliable corner. Their LB's are ok and Khalil Mack is a beast that could give our tackles fits which is my only real concern with this team. I think that looking at this as objectively as possible I would say Tuck (or Tucker depending on the media outlet) could be a problem but Iike Yanda in a headup matchup with him and I think KO can hold his own.

On offense if we are going to try any wrinkles this would be the time. I think our O can put up some big points, but I dont think that would  necessarily show us much. This would be a great time for our starters to gel on some things and maybe see what we have in Waller with an actual meaningful game. We should definitely feature the run game as well though because our o line may need some confidence after the beating they received last week. I think that we should really use this game to try some things that we may not have tried last week for the fear of it going awry.

On defense I am not particularly worried, I mean Amari Cooper has certainly shown promise but for all intents and purposes our secondary shut down Demaryius Thomas and everyone not named Sanders who we still contained by and large. I think their offense is young and will be good down the road when they get some protection but right now they are budding. I think we should also use this as a time to figure out if we have any pass rushers on defense not named Dumervil.

All in all I think that they will fight hard but if we take this game seriously and the team is not homesick they should not lose and we can get an opportunity to kind of find ourselves and maybe see who does what well given some more reps. I really want to see Za'Darius Smith in the rotation to see if he has anything against a line that is weak right now. I think we winn handily but I could be wrong...maybe

I almost never pick big victories. I just think their bad up front on both sides. I still think we have a top Oline despite last week and the best Dline in the league. That is a major mismatch plus their horrible secondary. Bad QBs. One rookie Wr who might as we'll be the invisible man vs smith. It's also a bad spot for the raiders. Ravens coming off a nail biter loss where they were outplayed physically then they all come together on the road. No long trip travel fatigue. It's going to be a shell shock for Oakland. Worse than last week.

Oh i agree. I think the Ravens will come out rolling and make things really tough on the Raiders. Even though many will just put it off on a poor secondary and give the WRs minimal credit, i think the offense has a huge day. But even with that 5 first half TDs would be special.

They have some injuries but I don't see this.  Due to the many early draft picks in recent years, they have talent.

Not really. Defense we have dan Williams at nose and Mack. Tuck when he decides he wants to play....nothing else

Offense we have Penn who's been good and Jackson at guard could be. Then we have Amari the rookie. I don't think Carr is good so that's it.

Carr had a really good rookie year when you think about the team he had to play on. I like him.

I too am not sure Waller is needed for the game. However, if he is on the 53 man roster then it is believed he is ready if needed to play against NFL starters. Side note: Waller was used on special teams in Denver.

I think he has to be on the 53. IR'ing a player to "stash them" is never a good idea because then they lose a year of practice, but Waller likely would not make it to the practice squad with his potential. I think he'll be better after more weeks of NFL practice.

Need to drop Magee to the p.s and pull up ross for this game. Either him or Charles James since we still only have 4 cbs. Let either of the return kicks and put camp on PR duty. Don't need SSS returnin kicks this game, save him for the next 2 divisional matchups with cinci and Pittsburgh.

Should have started this last week, but completely forgot. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the Ravens control both DL and OL and take care of business, quite handily over the Raiders.
