I hope you're being sarcastic.

Just to clarify, I don't mean we should trade Perriman, I'm just suggesting we trade for another receiver so that have at least one good receiver until Perriman arrives.

Unpopular opinion (I think), they need to move Waller into the top 4 on the depth chart.  Or at least use him like a 2012 Jacoby Jones.  Let him come in a few times and go deep.  Even if they don't trust his underneath route running, after having him only run short and intermediate in preseason, they should at least trust him to run deep.  I hope to see this a few times against Oakland

Perriman's not coming back till October according to Aaron Wilson. Let's make a trade.

I'd look at guys like Robert Woods in Buffalo and Cordarrelle Patterson in Minnesota.

Woods is at best the 4th option in the Bills passing game.

Patterson seems to have fallen out of favor with the Vikings staff. He's an explosive returner and has the speed to stretch the field on offense.

That's not an unpopular opinion at all.

Is Alden smith eligible?

Yes, I believe he is....  due to SEVERAL/MANY problems with the Law...  We don't need that....  He's ridiculous

Old news that isn't accurate anymore.....  That was a discussion from 2 weeks ago...  Just this past week, Perriman was ruled Questionable, not Out .. Last I heard he was due to return to practice this week.

edit:  Just reading several articles, He is due to make his NFL debut in October...  Which sounds about right when you consider that today is September 15th.... That's 2 weeks.

We've got to see what that means ... at what level of participation will he be in practice? I need to see him jog first .. then run ... then take hits. Then and only then can we even dream of putting him on the field. Up until now, we've not even seen that first step.

Whether or not that mean October, I don't now. I don't think anyone does. If I am asked to speculate, I think that Sept 27 is best case, but Oct 4 is likely. I don't understand people thinking that we need to make a trade to replace him, if he could be coming back in 2-3 weeks.

That's not old news. Aaron Wilson tweeted that today.

Perriman still hasn't been cleared to run from what I've heard. And then you add on the fact that he's not in football shape. I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't see him until late October.

Patterson lost his starting job to a 7th round pick. He sucks.

Interesting prediction, heres a thought: Im not too worried any more honestly. After watching sunday and seeing how well our defense played (i know we lost suggs) and we were playing on of the top defenses in the league, im confident that we dont need BP back asap. Yes, we do need to stretch the field and thats why i think Waller has to be used at least a little bit. If we actually do use waller to stretch the field and when we do get BP back, thats just one more weapon with no tape out on our system with him in it. Hell, maybe even waller steps up big. I know im being optimistic, but its better than being a negative ned.

Exactly. Waller might be able to get so.e reps now and hopefully develop a rhythm with Flacco. Need someone to step up at wr.

I'd look at him more as a returner. He's not a good receiver, but he has speed that the defense needs to respect. Kind of like Jacoby Jones

I was reading other articles...  He's been on the sidelines jogging and catching throws before the games.  He's not "invisible"... which I like.  We can see that he isn't "immobile".   Oh, and I consider back when they are back on the field practicing with the team and getting ready to play...  I know that doesn't count..

But I agree with Balfan23.  I think he's back around the 4th...  And as far as his ability???  Just saying... One more time...  I've seen his ability down here at UCF...  I know he's gonna be productive.  I'll be deathly shocked if not.  And I'm not trading him for anything that's out there right now.

I wouldn't complain if we made a trade using anything below a 3rd round pick. It's OBVIOUS that we need a good WR. Giants already have OBJ, think they'd mind lending us Victor Cruz?...

we should have made a play for b Marsh.

Like who? And what would we give up to get them? And why would that trade benefit the other team?

Bringing Perriman back against the Steelers or Browns would be ideal. I would really like him in there against Pittsburgh, simply because their secondary looks like garbage and it could be a great game to get the man some confidence a la Torrey Smith against the Rams. The Browns are quite a bit better at CB, however, but it is at home, so that's something.

I agree. Our WR core is very bad right now we need someone effective even if it takes a high draft pick.

atleast talioferro and jernigan will be back next week. harbaugh got on them about announcing stuff on twitter. also hoping that aldon smith gets suspended before sunday, but either way we'll be alright.

last i heard derek carrs mri came back and things were ok, just  a bruised hand. they also said the bruising has alright started to subside so he is probable for sunday. doesnt matter to me, were gonna eat him alive,

I would be estatic if we traded for Donte Moncrief. 3rd round pick two years ago, Colts seemingly immediately gave up on starting him when they drafted 1st rounder Dorsett. Leaving Moncrief the 4th receiver of a powerful WR core. If I'm Ozzie I'm thinking about him, then again, I'm just a fan.

Perriman having a timetable is great news. I hope he can make it to that Steelers game, though unlikely he will do that. Still October is surely fine, hopefully we can go 2-2 during that stretch.

Yikes...2-2?

T.Y Hilton got banged up last week and Moncrief will probably be relied upon a lot this week. Plus Johnson isn't a long term option so why trade a young guy who is developing behind him?

He is a scrap of heap. Colts invested in ton of receivers via draft. Only star to emerge is TY. They got sick of it and got Andre.

Not bad. These next four is our toughest stretch arguably of the season. You can bet Pitt is salty about losing against us, and we have our troubles against the Bengals.

3-1 would be amazing, we'll have to see what happens.
